It’s a shame everything bar Steve Jansens drums were re recorded in the studio after.

I don’t think the talk or argument about Mick Karn as a bass player is pertinent. He was Mick Karn and we will never be so blessed again. Just a one off. He changed my view of music forever
god i love this band so much.. i’m 16 and i wish i could have seen them live

I love this trio. No need to Sylvian at all … no need vocals at all …

If you're a grown adult and you can't relate to this song. Either congratulations is in order or you the type of person that goes around and hurts people but has no remorse.

This is a great discovery for me cause this awesome band is almost unknown in post-Soviet culture, where new wave and new romantics were and still are popular. St. Petersburg, Russia.

Steve Jansen and Mick Karn were a rhythm section sent from God.

My favorite band from that era... along with simple minds, souxie, and ultravox... Never got to see Japan live unfortunately.... Still follow Sylvian although it's a lot more mellow. Have always loved his voice tho'....

An extreme talent, a beautiful song, a beautiful lady.. So many singers surround themselves with flashy fake stuff..lighting, voice correction, flashy clothing, etc. This lady comes out gets it done at 110% with her soul on her sleeve...simply beautiful.

The band are great, but the singer sounds (or behaves) not very close to Alanis Morissette. This singer in the video has talent, but it is very hard to imitate Alanis Morissette's vocals. I do not believe in 20+ years I have ever heard anyone who even comes to within 30% of her vocal range and sound.
@AlanizMorizzette2 ай бұрын
You are right Karl, we do not wish to imitate Alanis vocals. That can not be done or it will sound like a joke. We like to play all these songs and spread the the beautiful music of AM in our country.

@@AlanizMorizzette You have made me feel bad.. Genuinely... I am sorry for my comment. Your response and explanation was beautiful. Thank you for spreading this wonderful music. You are clearly a very genuine act and as a now (mid 40s something) I am a bit disillusioned by music, so-called talent, success etc, but you are very authentic and I thank you for that and sorry once again. I wish you the very best for the future. xxx
