I've been to some pretty amazing sports games including Olympic closing ceremonies and some intense college football games among others. But I have to say, nothing I have ever experienced matches the intensity of Liverpool vs Manchester United in the standing only KOP stand in Liverpool. Fans are so crazy there they have to keep them separated from fear of death and violence etc. Nothing like it including this, I'm afraid to say. Nothing else comes close. The extra sideshows aren't needed.
