Without this meat the people can't live. That is where they get all vitamins from. They have no trees to pick from or Garden. Good job and I would like to try. 😊😊😊

In the USA the laws are outdated regarding seals protection. There are over 30 millions seals here and overpopulated. We should be able to harvest them.

As a hunter myself i think it is awesome that are able to harvest these beautiful animals to feed their villages and families. Just wish they were a little more safe with their guns. Racing around in boats with loaded guns pointing around at each other.

I enjoy the work that you do with the skinning and butchering, but I do not understand the Inuit language, if you could on future videos and shows , could you have subtitles in the English language.

The privilege in this comment section is off the charts. People who are spiritually connected to the land, engaging in harvest methods, and ensuring that their people can live in harmony with the food sources they have used for generations is not as sad as the factory farming that kills millions of animals a year to provide the caloric intake of most Americans.

You are so skilled! Thank you for this video. I've wanted to make a nassak ever since a friend made one for my newborn baby. Unfortunately, I don't speak Inuktitut and it is hard to see your stitches. Do you have any written instructions in English or French? I'd be happy to pay for them. Thank you!

Why doesn't the village build a large boat trailer to slide under the whale so that you can roll the carcass up on shore to carve it up, it would be so much easier and safer.

Because they arent supported by major cooperations or anything of the such these are individuals using what they own them selves ie:you purchase a car because it helps you travel around the city they purchase boats and canoes because they are by the ocean.

@@zurdlessYou didn't answer the question, the village could get together and build a ramp for the purpose of easily bring the whale to shore, and keeping the animals cleaner when processing.
