I have a 2019 ram 1500 big horn. Would make this sound. I took it to an exhaust repair shop, they called said its the upper end not the exhaust. Drove a block away to ram dealer tech said exhaust manifold for sure. I think monro wanted to rip me off or didnt want to do the job. Thurs the dealer will repair it and said be 700 to 1400 depend if both sides needs it.

Damn so is that all it could be? I thought it was the transmission going bad since the sound is similar to what was going on when I started my 2013 Sentra. The clicking also happens during acceleration even after the initial clicking has passed. How much would this repair run me at a shop?
@cameronedwards411215 күн бұрын
does it make a clicking noise sometimes when those things go out? i thought i had some old fuses so i replaced the steering controls and horn fuses. i guess this is more than likely what the issue is but not 100% sure

So, my manifold looks like the rear half was completely rusted off. Is this a situation that would require an immediate repair, since its just the exhaust? Or would i be ok to drive this for a while? I made an appt with repair shop but they cannot fit me in for 2 weeks🫤

Simple solution to fix the gdi carbon buildup problem is to have the crankcase ventilation vent to the atmosphere

oops 120 ohms
@wiley0714Күн бұрын
"Bypass" Be specific. You would have put a 120ohm resistor where? He sees the last module at 120ohms, and the others should be reading 60, if you add a higher resistance you would not be able to see if the module itself is bad.
@rodvan-zeller6360Ай бұрын
Unplug ABS module, bypass terminals 26 and 14 with a 120OH0M resistor, rescan. I think that would have been my next step.

Port injections are much more reliable and less maintenance required. We can easily see cars (like old Rav4 and old CR-V) before direct injections last much longer than modern ones that have direct injections.

@@Ryan-fb1ot not much mate. My old crv around 10L/100km. New ones are about 8.5 to 9L/100km, not much difference. I prefer to pay a bit more for fuel and no headaches later.

Chris while its true and not for faint of heart DIYers, I had a 98 C5 that required a lot of clutch work over the 140,000 miles i put on it. In my 2 car garage with two floor jacks and 4 strong jack stands and a creeper with a tranny adaptor on one floor jack I could drop the clutch in 2 hours. After 3 times for practice. The hardest part was replacing the roll pin in the shift linkage at the transmission. The 1st time I tried that the pin when flying on the first tap. I had to invite my wife with her Saint Anthony statue to find the pin! And she did!!!! Saved me that night.

Very well done, appreciate all the details on parts to replace. I own a 2014 Corvette with 12,000 miles and i want the engine to last a long time. I just saw a blown LT1 taken apart and it had a window added to the block opposite #1!!! I have ruined a LS1 with a lifted ring land on number 7 that had overheated and cracked the sleeve too. Too much boost and the Meth injector nozzle clogged. So I worry. The 2007 LS7 i had required the rockers arms replaced and both heads were ruined valve guides, but I had the oil checked and found titanium in the oil so i performed the repair before more damage. I really don't want to go through all that again. But I am afraid I can't do this work myself anymore, too damned old. So then I worry about a shop locally experienced in doing this work to the level you explained. Adding new parts that you may not think about. The oil pressure regulator wire for example. O Rings on the Pickups. Oh and I have the dry sump engine so that all different too. I am in Northern Virginia if you know anyone with this experience let me know. Dennis
