There was another Documentary about a guy called Steven or Stephen who was schizophrenic and the film showed him with his father and how he was attacked by his son but i can't find it anywhere i think it's been deleted or banned? i think it was filmed back in 1987, does anyone remember it?

Damn man, he got a bronze star and a silver star for valor, so we was a damn good soldier or marine and the government still threw him in the trash.

I was a kid during this time and remember it well. Four of my uncles went to Vietnam. They came back home alive. I watched this video and it sickened me. I hate our government with an unbridled passion. God bless these good brave me.

When the name Elan was first mentioned my jaw quite literally flew open. I've learnt so much about the troubled teen industry through the internet and the amount of verbal and physical abuse they go through is heart shattering...

This was so different from anything, supposedly similar in today’s time. The people were all so real and raw, intelligent, audible, and unique whilst being on drugs and battling other demons.

Both of my grand fathers were Vietnam veterans. One lost his damn mind and was killed at 25 the other came back a drunk and died in his 40’s. Both of them left my grandmothers widows. Did they have problems prior to the War, sure.. but I sure Nam’ played a major part in their “outcomes”… great video

Same old same old people do their duty by the country but the country dont love them, all that anger bouncing back and forth giving those men that little number probably did more to reck theeir lives than the d***s did. You got a job you can support yourself and have some self respect and if they get hi once a week its no different than buying a bottle or going to a bar. Point is they can easre back into society (remember they were conscripts not volunteers they went or they went to jail) looks to me like its always been like that then it was H from 1989-85 cr**k suddenly on the scene now its oxy and frnt***l! They believe we all fools they putting that shit on the market to keep the poor quiet, your good enough to fight their disgraceful wars for them but when you get home you cant get a job you just been had nothings changed.

I don't know why, but this documentary comforts me. I come back to rewatch it from time to time. Maybe it's the talk about mental health. "I don't know, sometimes i feel like killing myself, other times i feel like i want to live forever."

Same for me. I watch it about twice a year. I always find myself wondering what happened to so many of these kids and hoping they turned out all right. 💝
