All over seeing indian reviews being done with speedometer not functional. Later on dealerships would sell it with under 10km on odo citing it as new one. No ethics, neither by dealer nor by reviewer.
@alroymenezes2 ай бұрын
@@falcon-91 I spoke about the speedo not working and fact that these test ride bikes will also probably be sold with a minimal odo reading. Please watch the beginning of the test ride, i have clearly mentioned it. It is not my fault as a reviewer if the showroom gives me a bike to test ride with the speedo disconnected. While you blaming the dealership is absolutely justified I dont know why you are blaming me here, infact i gave called this out and am showing it to you so you are aware of what is happening. Be sensible in your comments, dont simply throw accusations around just because you can.

I don't think it's a mimic of interceptors. It's just like the original BSAs.
@alroymenezes2 ай бұрын
@@ArunKumar-ts7xo Hi Arun the BSA does not mimic the interceptor - i am talking about the neo retro category of motorcycles with the Triumph Bonneville setting up or leading this class, the Interceptor following it and the BSA also trying to emulate the same success.

I beg to disagree on many things said here as Stock interceptor has bad suspension. Also BSA is very peppy. Breaks on interceptor is very weak vs BSA. The grunt on BSA is legendary. Keep in mind when u compare bikes u need to do stock to stock. Cannot compare to the modified one as it could be unlimited. U got my attention when u said interceptor is a challenge in Bangalore !!!! Love the interceptor look but many users in Bangalore tell me not to go for it 😒🤔 Would u recommend a BSA?
@alroymenezes2 ай бұрын
@@Motoring333 Hi Vinay, you are right on saying that a stock Interceptor should be compared with a stock BSA 650, however as the owner of an interceptor for the last 4 years, I wanted to test how the BSA 650 would compare to my own motorcycle and if the BSA would lead me to reconsider my ownership of the 650. Now coming to suspension while I am running way2speed's front suspension kit, my rear suspension is stock and on the softest setting. I did not check what setting the BSA rear suspension was on ( assuming it was softest) and it bottomed out way quicker and rebounded more aggressively than the Interceptor rear suspension. The reason for this could be the rear bias on 17 inch rims. Also one correcting I need to add, the suspension on the BSA is not only soft on compression but too aggressive on rebound making it too stiff for my liking, sending jolts up my back on bad patches. I did not find the brakes on the BSA exceptional. The brake pads used on the Interceptor and the BSA are sintered Brembo brake pads. My interceptor front brake pads are due for a replacement and taking that in mind my Interceptor 650s front brakes didnt seem exceptionally weaker than the BSA. Any difference would be marginal given that both Brembo and Bybre and basically the same company with a differentiation based on localization. On the comparison reviews you will read or watch between the BSA and the Interceptor, the braking performance of the BSA is better because it runs on Pirelli tyres vs the Interceptors CEAT tyres. My Interceptor runs on Pirelli tyres that came stock from RE. The BSA is also about 10 kgs lighter and there is no doubt it has better torque and initial compared to the Interceptor but the Interceptor outshines the BSA when the road opens up. You need to pick between these two based on your purpose of riding which I mentioned in the video. I suggest you test ride both and decide. Remember for the Interceptor there is a massive aftermarket parts catalogue that can pretty much fix its flaws. The BSA is yet to get there, their story in India has just begun.
@Motoring3332 ай бұрын
@@alroymenezes thanks for the detailed response. I think RE Stock tires are now not Pirelli. They moved away is what I read in the reviews. When I test rode both back to back, one more noticeable thing was seat comfort. BSA seating was comfortable. Also not sure how would BSA fare on highways.
@saiprashanth0082 ай бұрын
You could also wait for the interceptor bear 650, coming this November,the suspension issues could be sorted there

INTERCEPTOR - Too noisy .. whistling noise .. BSA - bassy .. good control .. initial pickup .. great torque
@alroymenezes2 ай бұрын
@@Motoring333 hey Vinay yes RE stopped providing us with the Pirellis and downgraded to tube type CEATs with no drop in price! Now they provide tubeless CEATs on the Interceptor and Vredestines on the Continental GT. The stock seat on the Interceptor is bad, you are right about the seat on the BSA being better. RE also knows the stock seat is crap that is why they offer 3-4 types of different seats at an extra price. I believe the new touring seat with a wider base is the best a for the Interceptor. I got my stock seat completely remade at a famous seat maker in Bangalore and it is has been made according to my butt and my requirement of lumbar support. So right now it is perfect and i dont feel the need to get out of the seat for atleast a few hours on a long distance ride. You can check out my detailed walk-around video of my interceptor where I detail the modifications i have carried out to make it a more complete motorcycle.

No issues, the way2speed kit are progressive springs with more length/ travel. Read up about progressive springs and why they are great for our Indian road conditions. The YSS suspension is not progressive.
