How do u have a podcast about sports and not know why they called this play??? It’s simple, u punt, it opens up the block and a quick score or a run back and a quick score and a couple other things that could go wrong. You take a safety and then get a free kick to pin them in, and just as importantly use time off the clock. Seriously, to have a fucking podcast and not know the basics of the game is hilarious. This has been done DOZENS of times by teams in the same position during NFl games.

Victim of bad QB play?!?! Are you on drugs? Dude was ranked in the top ten in the NFL before injured (ahead of Pat Mahomes who was 16th). The usage of players and the lack of defensive play was the biggest issue. 32nd in pass defense was the issue. Bad CB play was the reason he got fired. Why is the 3rd string RB on the field on 3rd down? Why is Armstead at DE? And why is the defense being switched out like a hockey team on power play. Go look as the snap count of Walker and Allen last season compared to this season. The defense couldn’t get off the field. And Doug failed to make ANY ADJUSTMENTS all season long. Dude needed to have Frank Reich and Jim Schwartz to win a Super Bowl. We all saw who Doug was when both left for other teams. Dude is a fraud

Hmmm ... so, JA has been more consistent over the year, huh? You might want to dig into the stats a little bit ... JA has 6 games with a passer rating of under 100; LJ has 3 ... JA has 2 games with a passer rating of 140+; LJ has 5, 3 of which are 150+ (including a perfect 158.3) ... to say JA has been more consistent is correct ... consistently less than LJ.

lol i'm going to explain it to you like I did above. Point 1: Passer Rating biases efficiency, meaning you throw less and you're more prone to better numbers because of less risk. Point 2: In those games where Lamar has >100 Passer rating he's 0-3, but not only that the common theme is he was asked to throw the ball more than 30 times.... and every single game he's thrown more than 30 times (aside from the bengals) the ravens have lost and those are collectively his worst passer ratings. Conclusion: Lamar operates out of an efficient and balanced offense that doesn't have him shoulder everything, but when he needs to he comes up short, plain and simple. Your passer rating argument is flawed and paints an incorrect picture. Josh Allen and especially Joe Burrow shoulder more for their teams respectively and your passer rating doesn't show that.

I think having Henry and winning it last year will work against Lamar. Josh is a human highlight reel, but Lamar has better stats this year. Josh cleaned up the turnovers. Can't wait for the playoffs so they can stop debating this.

@PlayAction.Sports he's always had to work miracles every season with low caliber players, he's been disrespected as a qb since the beginning now has the highest completion %, qb rating in the league, 2nd in passing yards, and 40+tds. no matter what he does the goal post gets moved and then he gets discredited like he's being carried when finally getting some help even tho it's a #1 rb instead of a #1wr when we all know they had a better record and lead the league and went to afc championship last year without a Henry.. if record is such a big deal why are ppl willing to insert burrow into the conversation with 8 losses knowing it's because he's constantly throwing to 2 #1 receivers? makes no sense

@@wizem10 I'll give you some quick facts to disprove this immediately: You mentioned low caliber players; Pro bowl players for Ravens (9) Bengals (3) Bills (2). From top to bottom (Offense, Defense, Special teams, and Coaching) the ravens have had everything. I won't let you discredit Offensive line play, proper coaching and scheme as well in this argument. You mentioned qb rating & completion percentage; I think you meant "Passer Rating" because Lamar currently ranks 10th in completion percentage. He leads the league in passer rating which disproportionately favors efficiency over volume, and when you have a more balanced offense, it makes it tremendously easier on the QB because defenses need to respect the run. Not to mention Lamar is 2-5 when he throws the ball more that 30 times, and both those wins were against Cincinnati, and we know what happened in those games lol. He's also 6th in passing yards, not 2nd.

Last years Play of the Year at the ESPYs was Lamar’s throw that got batted in the air and he caught it for a big gain. Lamar is absolutely that guy. The narrative this year is pushing towards Josh Allen. Hate it or love it that’s what the NFL is pushing for. Stats absolutely favour Lamar. If we’re really talking stats, stats favour Burrow…. The team record doesn’t though.

He’s having an incredible season but the narrative is pushing for Josh Allen based on the team he’s playing for. Expectations dropped when Diggs left and Buffalos projected finish was not where it is today. That’s a big difference on this award.

The bills lost to 3 playoff teams.texans rams and Baltimore. How many wins do they have when Henry doesn't rush for 100yds? 0 is the answer. Yet Josh is 3-3 against teams over .500. Lamar is 7-3 against teams over .500 and has beaten every AFC playoff team except the Chiefs. You also neglected to mention that RBs were devalued and that is why Henry, Barkley, Jacobs and Mixon are on different teams. They were thought to be washed up. You can’t penalize Lamar for *FINALLY* not being asked to be the Ravens leading passer and rusher!
