Why no dental or eye care provided? Why are those extra money needs. No benefit for needed care? Discrimination against me by the system. Batavia NY Been a year and no help from senior center , discrimination against me and no assistance. Feeling litigation soon… No help for Batavia NY , Genesee county, has discriminated against me. Provided no response for a year no services, ignored by the people responsible for assisting senior citizens, which I am. I was treated disrespectfully and ignored. No justice for me? Hmm… Batavia…

Hello, I have a question. I used to have CA EAE DSNP Medicaid. Let me explain. Later I changed to Aetna and when I returned to Molina Healthcare, they assigned me to the Molina version of CA EAE DSNP Medicare, but I don't understand why, if my Medicaid is still active and now I no longer receive my transportation services, I don't understand. Could you please explain this to me and thank you.

Medicare part B costs $170.00 a month, which is about 1/4 of the cost of the coverage, meaning the Gov't. picks up the other 75%, or around $500.00 a month. Since I've paid into medicare all my working life, but opt out of the B coverage, shouldn't I be entitled to the entire $670.00 / month benefit in the form of a stipend, or refund? I know this is not how it works, but is it a fair question?

A question for you. I still pay my Part B even though I live overseas and will only use Medicare if I get massively sick and need to return to the US. Unless that happens, a complete waste of money for decades. So the Part B buyback is perfect. But is there a way I can use it if I no longer have my US address? I could use a relatives but would that be okay? Any suggestions. Seems unfair to pay Part B with no benefit, and even more unfair if I'm blocked from getting a buy back plan. When I go on websites with a zip code field to enter to find buyback plans I realized my problem... no zip... unless I use a relative or friend's. BTW, I am still registered to vote in my home state.

I had the standard plan F for a couple of years and did not have nearly enough bills to justify the ridiculously high premiums. Then switched to high deductible F at $70 per month with $2800 deductible. Pays for nothing. Only good as catastrophic insurance. The whole industry is a ripoff.

@tonymanero55449 ай бұрын
Medical Advantage plans say they provide a larger scope of benefits, but these for-profit insurers control access by denying or requiring pre-authorization to discourage using coverage. Rebating Part B premium means they somehow are cutting benefits to cut costs, to rebate Part B premium.

If you have been on a Medicare advantage plan for a few years since turning 65 and develop cancer then you will not be able to get a medigap or supplement plan due to underwriting. Then you can stay with the advantage plan which may be of no help to you or go back to orig medicare as your bills pile up and you head toward bankruptcy.

Dual eligible is a total disaster. With regular medicare i could not find a doctor anywhere close to me that accepts both medicare and medicaid. What a joke. What good is medicaid if nobody accepts it? I was forced into unwanted advantage plans which was another joke because they either deny care or deny payment. Its ridiculous. Even with correct referrals they always refuse to pay claiming they never received the referral. Even with a written approval for a covered procedure they still tried to refuse payment. Humana has actually denied paying for a simple primary care dr appointment. Really? Not even a simple dr appointment? They also stuck me with an unexplainable $28,000 hospital bill for a pre-approved procedure. They claim they approved the procedure for a different hospital when i have the actual letter of approval. Its just awful. We are suppose to be able to choose if we want regular medicare or advantage but in my case i dont really have a choice because there are no doctors in my area that accept the dual coverage with medicaid so i would hsve to pay all my out of pocket exlenses myself

My mother has about 4 different insurances that can help with all the costs of care inside the nursing home. The room and board. At the facility is $12000 a MONTH! That's the really hard part. She's really disappointed that the long-term care that she paid for for over 30 years only covers 3000 out of that 12000. A month. She's concerned that she's going to have to sell her house to move in a smaller place. To be able to afford living. Why is it that no insurance policy covers the room and board at a nursing facility? What else can be done?

You mentioned that Medicaid is free, well it is free up front until the medicaid recipient passes away then the federal government requires each state to place a lien on their probated estate to recover each and every cent that has been spent on the medicaid beneficiary. This is done through each state's Medicaid Estate Recovery Program which often leaves one's survivors loosing their inheritance of $$$, a home, auto, etc. Medicaid is considered to be a loan. Look it up---and I wonder how many congressmen have to repay their medical benefit expenses? Thank you.

Medicare for freemasons folks. But is it worth your soul? I doubt it.
@bab008 Жыл бұрын
You have to get "prior authorization for certain procedures" with both traditional Medicare and for all Supplement plans. It's the same in that regard. He is simply wrong. You cannot waltz into a hospital and say, "I want back surgery instead of trying therapy first." In our area you'll pay at least $3020 for Plan G premiums + part D drugs which also has a $500 deductible you will pay before it pays anything for your drugs. Compare that to an Advantage Plan PPO ($0 premiums and $0 deductibles) that has a max $4700 out of pocket regardless if you have cancer, heart transplant, chemo, skilled nursing facility, 150 days or more in hospital, etc. Also in a PPO advantage plan no referrals are needed. The copays are much less than the ones he cited on plans I'm looking at: $0 for primary, $30 for specialist (no referrals needed), no copay at all or deductible for prescription drugs. A CAT scan or MRI copay is only $50-$225 for example. So hitting the max out of pocket would take some serious health issues.
