I just bought a very sad (there were only 2 left) plant from Wal Mart. It doesn't seem to very much yellow or brown, but it is definitely dropping leaves. I am hoping to bring it back to life. I had one years ago and I loved it.

Just purchased one today from Home Depot. of course, I had to immediately have to repot it( over watered ); but it was a gorgeous plant in all.

I started with one plant that was gifted to me from a florist in a grocery store. The plant had already bloomed. This was given to me in 2005. Today 2024, the mother plant has an additional 6 full grown plants in the same pot. I have repotted the plants twice and it has always bloomed around March through June when I started to water and fertilized on a regular bases. My Clivia sits outside until the temperature drops below 32°. I keep it away from direct sunlight because this will burn the plant and cause it to wilt. This happened once but the plant bounced back after correcting the environment. My plant goes through a dormancy period during the winter time when the plant is brought back inside when the temp drops below 32 or below. It is given very little water, maybe once a month from Oct-Nov thru March. The plant will bloom once it is brought out of dormancy whether it is March or June. My plant is very resilient and has never disappointed me. It has always bloomed no matter the circumstances once it is watered and fed.

I believe the plant you’re holding is really a McColley finale. You can tell by the leaf shape this plant looks like it’s a heart shape.

Hi . Thank you for your video. I am just wondering if it is normal that the leaves look like they have been eaten gradually by an insect or something. I have noticed that the leaves start to get flaky and look like something have been chewing on them.

mine has lived under a cheap ten watt grow light and even had the light turned off for more than two days. this was awhile ago, but it’s had zero issues so far and i’ve really abused it. i was surprised when people said it gets fussy.

My ric rac is growing well but it's got what I'd call "feelers" on all the stems ? Small root like growths along the bottom of all of them. They are about 2-3 feet long and growing great but I'm not sure if I should trim those off or not ?

I love my ficus plants and most of them are doing well. What l needed to know mostly is the correct potting medium to put them in, and you have explained that well. I started with 2 of the large leafed green rubber plants, and have added 2 each of Ruby ones and 2 of Black Knight ones. Cheers Yyler.

Ohhh God you did a bad job doing the bamboo stick. you need to turn your plants around so the back of the plant face the climbing stick so the root can eventually hold on to the stick. very poor job. and the stick is too loose. Yes I know this video is 3 years old, so I hope you have become a better plant dad than in the video.
