Here's a nice tip (especially for beginners) to let the code remind you that a function is returning a Promise: rename the function. At 21:18, the fetchPosts() can be renamed to fetchPostsAsync() to always remind us that a Promise is expected as a return value. A wonderful and insightful walkthrough of things that can go wrong with async code. Thank you Jenn!

I appreciate the sign language lady, which will be really helpful IRL. But now it's video, and isn't this much easier to follow with subtitles?

God Bless Jerome and what he is doing for veterans! This brought tears of joy to my soul while I am working on a Client's website. Spreading this around every time I talk to a fellow Veteran who wants to code.

Good talk. Can we stop it with the fantasy world of computing? There is no 'cloud'. It is just another word for a 'server farm'. A big room or building full of servers. This is a small example of why the centralized web will soon lose to WEB3. People have long been tired of the corporate glossing over of reality and trying to convince users of the centralized internet that it is some magical place. Maybe because big tech are very afraid of losing their giant grip on the tech marketplace. Like there is no 'cloud' there also is no 'metaverse'. Yet another huge waste of valuable bandwidth that big tech want to keep control of. WEB3 uses almost zero bandwidth compared to the centralized web. In WEB3 Bill Gates owns NOTHING. Big Tech own NOTHING, but their own content. Which is where we are going. All of us eventually. Back to the REAL WORLD of computing. Where creators of content own their content, their privacy and right to publish freely without having some big tech Ogre stomping all over users of the internet.

Hi @lucas, great video. Is there a way I can see what the code for the bootstrap looks like? I am interested to know how the bootstrap takes care of client routing, i.e. mounting and unmounting apps according to their routes.

Hey Jo, I've got bad news and good news. The bad news is that Bootstrap source code is not open source at the moment unfortunately. The good news is that I created a small course on how to build your own "bootstrap" → www.manning.com/liveproject/building-micro-frontends-with-a-team-based-vertical-architecture so you can definitely follow that if you want to learn more

Max created a training regarding what we discussed in this video and you can see the code of the app shell in there: www.manning.com/liveproject/building-micro-frontends-with-a-team-based-vertical-architecture

I watched this talk two years ago and it's left a lasting impact about how I think of UI and animation. There's some great stuff in here, and as a dev who primarily reaches for React when building UI, it's helped me appreciate some of the things that are great about Vue.
