Remastered? interesting! I did a play through of the original for the Megadrive, what console is this version for? BTW, pro tip, you have 3 boosts you can use in the top left hand corner 😉

@TheCriticalWranker well, technically it's just a 'remaster' of my own design 😅 On these videos I sharpen the models a bit, re-colorize it to make it pop a bit, stabilize any flickering that would sometimes happen on the Genesis, etc.

Oh, this game is burnt into my brain. I revisited this a couple of years ago, and made a playthrough, still loved it as much now as I did in the 90's. I totally understand that is nostalgia talking though, doesn't seem very popular with people that play it for the first time now. Great trip down memory lane 👍

The tactic is Drive a Wedge then Form a Line. This is a near unbeatable tactic throughout the game. I still play it on my old Sega Genesis occasionally.

It's an interesting console. There are about a dozen or so Sega CD games worth owning. The rest are really weird or just terrible. A lot of the good games are expensive now, but there's no piracy protection on the Sega CD, so you can just find an ISO and burn a CD-R.

This is the PS2 version, but in order to get a few quality of life adjustments and better graphics when playing through the game, I emulated it on PCSX2.

I had this game on my Game Gear back in the day and loved it. It was on one of those dodgy 12 in 1 carts I bought in Turkey as I'm pretty sure Sonic Drift was never released in Europe. Thanks for the memories, might bust out the Game Gear and give this one another go.

My local trade in store stopped accepting this a month after its release because they had so many copies of it which is the only reason I still have it. Congratulations on finishing it because I didn’t even get out of the magic box when I played and I was a pretty good gamer even back then. I gave up and never played it again even though I still could I read the novelisation instead far less painful and no broken controllers from frustration. Thanks for putting yourself through this for us so we don’t have to it’s sad because it had so much potential.

God I loved this game so much as a child, I remember getting stuck on Faith’s boss fight against Kakistos, my young mind just couldn’t figure out how to kill him 😂 and no KZbin tutorials to help, I never played it again because it made it angry. So I’m glad to be able to sit here and watch how the rest of the game unfolds after all this time ❤
