Exquisite!! So grateful for this. What an exhausting concert this must have been. Curious why the cellist picked up the endpin in Grosse Fuge. But what incredible musicianship throughout! Cello melody lines in the slow mvt op 130, viola throughout, violins mind melding...amazing!

Chapeau! - Very worth listening to, delivered in a lively and noticeably intrinsically motivated way, THANK YOU for sharing! The pieces by composers outside the mainstream (James Nares) are particularly exciting! After listening, I suggest immediately enjoying Masumi's very stimulating harpsichord part in the Naxos recording with Handel's works for viola da gamba (Ibrahim Aziz) and harpsichord as a complement. Cheers!

I helped to build this organ! I worked for Grant, Degens and Bradbeer as an apprentice organ builder, and this organ in the Sir Jack Lyons concert hall at York University was one of the first builds I was involved in. I was there for the inauguration, in fact it fell on my 18th birthday - 26th November 1969. It sounds as good today as it did then!

Piano too loud and viola not microphoned well; thus sounding distant and afar off. When are people and pianist going to realize that the viola is NOT a loud projective penitrating instrument. I am a professional violist and I know whereof what I speak.

I remember the Hills, in their book on Antonio Stradivari, more than a century ago, saying that a full grand piano should never be played with a violin.

Well done Lore! A concert on two halves, and what an acoustic in the stairwell (as Phil Spectre knew all those years ago)! And what a polite and (naturally) perfectly bi-lingual security guard. And who knew you could also play the bass pepper-mill? Bravo.
