Hey Plume, glad to see you again and congratulation on your new path forward! I know how difficult it can be to choose yourself over "what you should do", be it because of how your family and friends might perceive it or because of the sunk time and resource cost, but in the end choosing your present happiness is what matters the most, you can always try your hand at the diploma in the future if you feel like it, but nothing can bring back your present. I was faced with this same choice in the past concerning my work life and once again last December on the start of my medical transition, in both cases, I chose happiness over the status-quo after years of mental anguish. I am happy to see the relief on your face, it feels like you have much less weight on your shoulders, I am looking forward to what you do next, from one sister to another!

I’m at the point with dysphoria where I’ll feel it and not recognize it’s dysphoria half the time. Just sorta uncomfy being a person is what I think. I’m glad to be able to hear your thoughts and experiences on dysphoria!

I was so happy when I saw you posted again! :D I'm so proud of you! Thank you for not giving up, girl! <3 I feel like I need to say something. I have a strong anxiaty disorder. (I've probably had it since childhood, but after 2020 it got significantly worse.) Which makes my life unnecessarily hard. It's getting better, yes. But it's still there. And on days that I don't feel good, it's especially difficult for me to just ... exist, I suppose. So, hearing you say that simply surviving is enough, made me smile. :) I'm trying really hard to improve myself and my life and it's exhausting and it takes a lot of energy and, like you said, courage. Hi Plume. Here after your comment under a Newel of Knowledge post. I really hope you hold on, and reach out to supportive people if there are any in your life. If there aren’t, then it’s tougher, but not impossible, to get through this spell. For me learning to deal with failure is something of a paradox. You have to be invested in things in order to put the necessary work into them, but you also have to be uninvested enough that you can let go when the time comes. I think the way I’ve been able to make this work is putting something more of a process-based identity at my core which comes before other things, so whilst I invest in outcomes, the outcomes aren’t what makes me me. And I think that gives you a lot of power over your life. Look after yourself. You’re a human struggling, and it’s a long road. But it’s a journey you can make.

I like that you said that failure doesn’t define someone. It’s something I struggle with aswell. I’m working on it and it has gotten a lot better over time. I don’t wish anyone to have to deal with that, but I’m glad to know I’m not alone with it. :) Thank you for this video, girl! By the way, I love your glasses and hair! So pretty!
