0:07 Ok Leonard here’s the plan, there are 2 owls in here, I’ll try to fight them to take over. If you see an owl fly away, you come in here and help fight the owl. But what if we lose, daisy? The owls have more agility anyw- It’s ok, I’m jumping in! WAIT I DONT EVEN… oh no 1:00 no no no I can’t do this, I’ll fly and wait for the battle to end 1:32 I heard that he brought another pigeon here but where? I’ll go look for him 1:41 it’s just me and you owl! I’ll protect this box from you freaking pigeons! 1:53 ok I’m back, how is this pigeon doing Serena? doing good, still trying to fight it, can you keep looking for the other pigeon Christopher? Yes Serena! 2:07 Christopher, wait, I’m coming. this freaking pigeon 2:23 Leonard! Look, I did it! Leonard? Dammit… Leonard, I’m coming! We can at least breed in this box?

And for this reason, their bodies are specialized to deal with such unsanitary living conditions. They’re also magnificent cleaners, preening constantly, hence why barn owls always look fluffy and pristine. Ya know, despite being “disgusting dirty owls” lmao. Creatures that live in their own muck are often scrupulously clean on their own person in spite of how they survive. Which is arguably more than most humans manage to accomplish.
This is a really neat and beautiful area.I love the nest box, and they are a very lucky owl pair to have such a great home and enviroment!! Wishing them good luck with their family!

These videos of pigeons going into barn owl nests are literally like homeless people going inside peoples homes, picking a fight and running the people living there out of their homes.

@faefiercevulpine6990 Жыл бұрын
Yes and this is normal in birds. Having a full set hatch is miraculous, and having so many eggs is nature’s way of trying to promise at least a /few/ will hatch :)
