I admire Gino’s skating and impact on skating but could do without the ASICS propaganda that comes with it now
@benjistorment1655Ай бұрын
I’ve always been a huge fan of Gino. However, people fan out way too hard. I respect his approach to the act of skateboarding, he’s great to watch. But the ‘representation’ of it in present forms of media is banal.

Skateboarding is a liberal landscape to be fair. That's the source of the problem you speak of I believe.

Gino Lannucci said it perfect .Great Skateboarder, legend & video was top notch🔥❤️🔥🔥
@birdman7450Ай бұрын
I love how it ended with him pushing around. Skating can be about landing incredibly technical tricks and it can also be, at its heart, a different way of experiencing and feeling the world. A simple push around town can radically improve your day.

i can only honetly think of three skaters who had only a few parts that made a carrer out of them, gino, pj ladd, and tom penny. guy mariano would have been in that list if he didnt have that come back.
@mikehemens9359Ай бұрын
Tom Penny solidified his goat status before he had a real part and once he released one it was footage of him completely emaciated in Europe. His 1st part was after his prime.

If anybody is too young to know, 7 minutes of Gino Iannucci footage is better than getting a bag of diamonds for no reason.

Well said… I had the honor to have been at one of those 9am skate park sessions and Gino showed up solo. I did a bs wallride and he tapped his tail in response… a moment I’ll never forget. I casually thanked him for his contributions to skateboarding and for being an influential person. He was very humble and kind. Give thanks again Gino, you’re a true Poet

Oh! So that's how the third building fell on that horrific day in September. Mike V. weakened it with a subtle back truck slap.

I got a signed picture of Mike v skating the banks. He wrote "never give up" and even though I can't skate like I used to. I still go out and bomb a hill or hit some little ledges every once in awhile. Mike was definitely in his own category and will forever be one of the greatest in my book.
