As teenagers in the 70's, my friends and I HATED that character J.J. He was weak and silly, and didn't represent what a young Brother really was.

Do you have Touched by an Angel episode called Into the Fire with guest stars Montel Williams and Cynthia Nixon? I want to see that episode when the church is on fire.

There are no fathers in the projects. That's the problem. "The war on poverty " and the "war on drugs" were realistically the war on black families. There is nothing stronger or more important than the family unit.

His daddy was looking like my daddy when he was about to make something bad happen to somebody. 😂. Now that I’m grown with my own family, I understand why men look that way.

Pretty sure those 2 hoodlums peed themselves when they saw the scary stare of James Evans - best TV dad 👍 JJ holding up his fists and bouncing around like a fool afterwards 🤣

“Some of that Jazz”. Great episode. As an 8 year old boy this scene had me in tears. People being genuinely decent to others in such a caring fashion, like Jack in Janet’s crushed moment, always gets me. May be because my family wasn’t tight but either way this show was my all time favorite for many reasons.
