@korm8621 Only thing I've done is switch out the ESF: Companions trials only version to the full version. I want to see if there are any issues with the full version on SE with all the mods installed. The ENB is Silent Horizons.

It was definitely a turn off from a gameplay perspective. Beautiful modlist though. I do plan on posting some videos of Halls of Sovngarde soon. I just want to make sure when I commit to a full playthrough that the version I'm playing on doesn't have too many issues.

Hardly. The emphasis on 3rd person combat will be a deal breaker for some people. However, it does have some of the quest mods that Serenity had, and that was what drew me into DNGG. I'm going to play around with it for a while and see how things go.

This was the Serenity modlist, but sadly it was removed from wabbajack a while ago. mate, Ive been running into problems getting "wards functionality" to work with serentiy. I initially just threw it in at the end of the load order and it seemed to work fine but the higher level wards dont have the correct tooltips. probably not working correctly either. did you have to make a patch for it to work with serenity? or if you have a simple way to get it to play nice could you help me out? <3 thanks dude

If you're talking about the high level wards added by the mod I ignored those, and those obviously would require a patch. If you're talking about Shalidor's mirror that will also need a patch if you want it to block attacks similar to the other wards. However I left it as it was, and used it as a ward meant to deflect spells only.

@@ZeriocTheTank hmmm, even things like "greater ward" my tooltip is only the "increases armor rating by X points and creates a X points strong protecting ward" it has none of the previous things yours has. if that makes sense. I may have to do the build without it. do you think this mod is critical for this build to make it to endgame? ALSO my "greater ward" is an adept level spell in the current serenity + wards functionality mod. not sure if thats correct. hmmm LESSER WARD is the only one with a proper full tooltip

@chris Do remember that this footage was from Serenity 1.xx & some things have obviously changed since then. The build will need to be tweaked without the mod installed. As of right now I don't have Serenity installed, so I can't take a look at things myself to see what to conflict is.

hey bro, loving your crusader of stendarr content. I have a question... does 'ward functionality extended' work with serenity 2 out of the box? just maybe last in load order/ run the reqtificator? or did you need to change/patch things for it to work? I been poking around these modlist discords like wildlander and wabajack but these modlist communities are weirdly gatekeepy on not altering or adding to the modlist at all. I asked about adding cloaks of skyrim to wildlander once and people started having a mental breakdown lol. Im ashamed to say but wabajack has made me so stupid when it comes to modding, I havent properly done it/created patches in like 7 years. x.x

I absolutely understand the frustration of wanting to customize your own modlist. I've been modding my own game for years before wabbajack. The reason I stuck with Serenity was because Xanza and Esvs were both against rule 11. They allowed people like me to talk about the mods we added. Some of the mods I used in this playthrough were eventually added to Serenity. I added Ward Functionality Expanded & simply just placed it above Requiem.esp. The mod allows wards to function as a shield, so I made sure the wards could be broken be strong shouts in the MCM menu. I really sure make a habit of being more active on the Serenity channel.

It takes some getting used to, and you'll have to plan your build ahead of time. I was definitely reticent about it initially. However I adjusted over time. One day I might see myself recreating Corvo since out of all of my playthroughs he was my favorite.

Esvs at the time had a beta for 1.7 where some of us were testing out a vampire mod he was dead set on adding to Serenity. Whet Fang was one of the new vampire strains added by the mod. I never had any intention for my shadowscale to become a vampire, but one of the many issues of the mod kind of forced it upon me. I added a few mods like iEquip, but other than that nothing that would significantly change Serenity in any drastic way.

I'm planning to clear this room exactly the same way, as I'm playing as a silent dagger assassin with the help of illusion. Thanks for the great upload. Gives me an idea of what to expect. Also, how do you maintain invisibility after interacting with loot/chests?

It's a mod included in Serenity. I'll be honest I don't know which one since part of me wanted to remove that feature. If Grandmaster Banananut didn't have that when he showcased all of it I didn't want it either. In the end I was too lazy to look into it & clearly ignored it.

It definitely got a tad stressful on my end. Part of me wanted to go for the perfect take without the screw up, but after some reflection I decided to post this video after all. A flawless run is great, but sometimes it's interesting to show what happens when you screw up.

I always thought that Requiem disabled that, but I'll see if that's possible. I'll also see if it's possible to one shot a dragon as well. Might as well push it to the limit.

2-shots, that is impressive. I wonder what would have happened with the white phial, or even a home-made potion of 50% additional damage. I also am guessing that a daedric dagger enchanted with 50% elemental damage would have worked even better than this dagger. The only way this dagger outperforms one that is crafted is if the unique damage enchant procs, which doesn't happen very often. Still, great video. It is surprising how viable dagger are in the current version.

I'll have to test the white phial & see if there are any changes. I'll have to pay off my bounty in Windhelm first. Now that this character has just about every perk needed I might invest into smithing to see if your hypothesis with elemental daggers would work.

@@ZeriocTheTank I was underwhelmed with this dagger in my game. For example, I found that an ebony dagger enchanted with fire was much better against undead than this daedric dagger. This in-game dagger was great as long as the extra damage proc'ed, but that happened only once in about once every 25 to 50 hits. At 100 enchanting, there is also the bonus enchant of 240 exploding elemental damage. On a dagger that also does damage to you and your allies, but it is great against enemies. Just take a potion of elemental resist before striking a dragon. Regular elemental damage is fine, and you can carry 3x daggers, one of each type of 50 elemental damage. - I'm not sure of the armor pen damage difference between dragon and daedric. Maybe dragon daggers would work too, I'm not sure. - I would test out if potions of 1h increase dagger damage. Last time I did this, it was actually marksman potions that increased dagger damage and not 1h potions, but that was many version of Requiem ago.

Honestly I was getting a tad bored of this character, and was going to redo my Stormcloak ranger. However this has definitely motivated me to see how much damage I could squeeze out of my sneak attack damage.

@@ZeriocTheTank I also thought the increase in dagger damage was tied to how archery and dagger damage was tied to investment in stamina. But I'm not sure if that is a fact, it was only my best guess. And this might have changed in the latest version of Requiem. The reason I mention this is that I must have consumed about 100 1h potions before I noticed that this didn't affect my dagger damage. Fortunately, my main skill was archery, so I had tons of archery potions. But my guess is the the white phial is the all purpose damage buff for every melee and archery skill. - All builds get boring as soon as they are built. What keeps any character or build interesting is trying new things and testing out new ideas. Killing one more dragon is boring, but spending 40 hours creating the perfect combination of skills and gear to 1-shot that dragon is thrilling. Have fun. - Also test out a dagger enchanted with fire on draugr. I was surprised how many draugr I could 1-shot with this weapon.

They're essentially invisible dremora, so there's a larger variety of them wielding various weapons. Do not get hit with a forward power attack by one wielding a warhammer. The most notable difference, and one not showcased here is that they briefly turn visible while attacking & a short time afterwards.

Only other mod that I have that edits the forsworn. Definitely going to be scary going through their without stealth. At least there won't be too many ghostly werewolf summons like with Minor Arcana.........I hope.

While I do have more werewolves installed it doesn't add that many of them. Sanguinaire is the culprit since I have to other locations in the Hjaalmarch area where there are that many vampires in two different locations. It has a tendency to spawn stuff like that close to the player. Similar the the vigilants and vampire that we're spawned during the video.

Definitely isn't a location you want to risk getting detected. Besides some of the obvious risks of getting caught which would start that horrible loop of every single bandit reacting to a dead body it's just more sexy to do it flawlessly. Sithis approves of the silence after all.

That was a lot of excellent stealth-dagger work. I loved it. My goal in this location is to kill them all without being detected, but the npcs outside seem to have buffed detection. I have never been able to clear the entire fort without being detected. You gave me some ideas to try in my next attempt. Thanks. - Illusion is too frustrating to use all the time. I always switch to invisibility potions as soon as possible.

Honestly one of the reasons I decided on recording footage of this fort was your video you did with your stealth archer. I figured why not give it a try. If the person that inspired me to do it approves then I guess I did a good job after all lol.

I remember how much fun it was to make that stealth-archer video, and your video made me want to give it another try, but this time with a bow and a dagger. - Getting the timing down with daggers is very challenging, but dagger stealth-kill compilations make the best videos. - I am still watching Requiem videos, and lately there have been a lot of Serenity videos to enjoy. Even Salty came back and made a few. I appreciate the excellent content that Requiem players like yourself are posting. - Your video had me on the edge of my seat, and after it was over I wanted to give that fort a try. But my current character is all melee, 1h, and no sneaking at all, so I will have to start a new character, hahaha. - I hope that you keep posting similar videos. Thanks again.

I always intended on returning to Skyrim. It's like that bad relationship that you know is bad for you, but you stay in it anyway. I just require a break in between playthroughs to decrease the likelihood of burning out & restartitis.

As long as you realize you're stealing it from someone that stole it themselves lol. Two others brothers of Stendarr their own video series with pretty much the same build, and I got inspired to do the same. Don't forget to add Ward Expanded Functionality. It speeds up the start up of the wards, and turns them into shields essentially. To balance it I allowed shouts to break them if they're strong enough via the MCM menu. If you're playing with the serenity modlist be sure to join the discord channel, and tell us about your adventures.

@@jarofpickles4057 This playthrough was during the Serenity 1.x era, so this was vanilla leveling. I did add Honed Metal to my load order as well as a mod that allowed me to disenchant anything and transfer the enchantment to my armor. I eventually took the archmage robe enchant and put it on my chest piece. Right now I'm drawing a blank on the mod name, but it'll come back to me.

@@ZeriocTheTank Ah, I see. Yea, I've added Honed Metal to my own play-through. Really fits well with Requiem, imo. Heard in the Discord that it's getting added officially to Serenity in the next release. Not sure about that other mod but that definitely sounds powerful lol.
