I agree. The original Gear Lever is really not the best. It looks very unsatisfying to me as well. Especially when you are using it as a handbrake, lol. So this mod works really well for sequential shifting, including button assigned Handbrakes. It just improves the overall look and feel of the wheel.

I've just always looked at things in a way that i can repurpose it, so it's various little random bits altered and some color added here and there, along to make it pop... check the Pagani build... then you can see how i made those mirrors... should give you an idea as to how my brain works lol.

Yes, but it's a Tamiya Shell... Tamiya is my go-to, but there are very few Tamiya nitro chassis where im located. I had a long while back...

The cars i locked were rear wheel drive... so for better drifting. It's just a demonstration on how to lock these diffs DIY.

Hi there, Scott...Unfortunately i don't have the wheel any longer. But i can certainly answer your question. The wheel basically gives you track/road feedback... and gives you resistance when you're turning trying to emulate what a steering wheel does in a real car. Hey, your project sounds amazing. Will you be using VR with it?

@@freshcustomsYT yes please check out my couple of videos to see some of my projects. This is for a FPV build to control a 1/24 scale rc car. So if you were going hard into a turn say a right turn the wheel would try to spin left? I'm trying to figure out how to wire the motor up.

Hi there, @aminghadyani280 1) I found the wheel to run really well for what it is and how cost-effective it is. Just pair the wheel with the correct Logitech Software. Don't try using the newer Logitech Software as it won't work. 2) You can definitely use it without desk mounting the wheel. I just feel that it's an overall better feel with the wheel being firmly mounted. 3) To be honest... I actually got used to the paddles being brake/throttle really quick. And i really enjoyed it... Honestly, I really enjoyed the paddles, as strange as it may seem. 4) For the price, it's worth buying indeed. It's completely up to user preference, though I played many Sim/Arcade-Sim Games, including Forza, with it and definitely enjoyed the wheel. The force feedback isn't very strong, although i found it was enough to enjoy the experience. But it's obviously user preference, as I've said before. 5) I'm not sure about compatibility with the Xbox Series S. Sorry i couldn't help you with this question.

Hi there Martin, could be a number of things causing the issue. I got a similar question recently. You can definitely try and see if it does make a difference it wouldn't hurt to try. Could be the Motor? maybe starting to seize? could be the bearing? you could also try greasing up the bearing. All the best with solving the problem.

Hi there, That's so strange... It's most probably an issue that was upcoming. Also, check the motor and the bearing. Very strange. My wheel and many other uses are still working brilliantly. im actually busy with another upgrade for the wheel... a little sim dash mod. Thanks so much... the pictures are self explanatory tho... The thing is, i came up with this mod as so many people are stuck with these chassis because of issues sourcing the correct belts... this way, u can adjust the rear belt for the electronic motor.

The Logitech Driving Force GT is from 2008 meanwhile the Thrustmaster TX RW is from 2015. Also, there's a difference in FFB systems. The DFGT (Driving Force GT) is driven by straight cut gears, which is where the majority of the noise comes from. The Thrustmaster uses a belt drive system. The point of this is to avoid buying a new wheel, some people don't have the money or can't update due to game support. The DFGT works on the PS2, PS3, and PC. The Thrustmaster you are limited to Xbox One and PC (well now Xbox Series X as well, but that came later). Going back to money, the DFGT is MUCH cheaper than the TX RW. I'm about to purchase one for $13, can't get anywhere near that with a TX RW unless its completely nonfunctional.
