They better update their verbage so people stop thinking its upgradable to 3s as is. Lot of upgrading needed or you are blowing diffs.

Traxxas prices themselves as a premium product without their products reflecting the price. Mini Maxx is an excellent example, their own website still says it’s ready for 3s vxl and lists it as an upgrade option but the trucks “ultra durable, beefy, overbuilt” drivetrain is shredding immediately. Lists waterproof electronics but the receiver is not in a sealed box, has 1/10 scale servo but it’s plastic geared, etc. Not a Traxxas hater, I preordered the mini day one and still haven’t cancelled it.

Just to let you know the center diff from the 1/10 scale cars is the same you just need the 47 tooth spur .

Traxxas upgrades for the mini so far are same price as full size. Yay traxxas. This coming from Traxxas only owner. Only non Traxxas i own is new grom blx typhon. That is better than this. Wait for v2.

It does 50 mph with a 3s for about 3 run bys before shitting itself and breaking. Is not 3s capable without hundreds of dollars of upgrades. Just watch everyone elses video. They actually did the upgrade. Not one survived. Grom blx now the king.

Informative video but the second you mentioned Oxidean marine you list me,bill Oxidean is a serial BS artist,having spent $3000.00 0n 0ne of his cat 2,s he sent me something that was damaged beyond use ,misdoing parts,admitted he actually forgot to add the rudder,cost me hundreds to send it back to him from Australia,freely hangs up on his customers 9f you ask him a question that would involve the truth,do yourself a favour and buy from offshore electrics instead,yes billmyour a dead set scam artist!

I run Louise 3.3" 1/10 Maxx 4S MFT Tyres on (1/2 Offset) Black Rims - Beadlocked in 17mm Hex I use both MT-Cyclone L-T3331SB and MT-Up Hill L-T3330SB on my Asuga and Typhon's...no problems with MFT belted on these rigs.

No drivetrain problems as been designed to cope with their 3s system? I’ve watched a video where gears in rear diff stripped 3 times… never had that issue with steel GROM diffs which are standard in the new 3s ones.

I agree with the 4000kv. My LHS sells the Spektrum combo, so I went with that, more $$ but wow what a difference! Rustler 4x4 BL-2s I put the BL-2S in my 2wd Slash, upped the pinion/spur to the high speed combo, I forget, 21/86 or something like that, super fun!

There are a lot more of those people in the country, then an angry dudes with a KZbin channel. I’ve been in business for 20 years. These cars sell in a significant quantity. As for Mike, relax a bit. Your expensive Team Associated kit is a lot more money. Why are you comparing the two ? You’re confusing a novice car with a professional buggy that’s 5 times the price…..just found a post where you said a junk china Hosim rc car is better than a jato. That post says it all. Dude ? Really. Looks like you are just a traxxas Hater. Get a life buddy.

Truck seems to be pretty powerful with that 2s system. But l need 3s power to live up to my expectations. Just have to get the metal center diff upgrade as well. Welcome to the world of Traxxas. Buying a RTR truck and then having to dump 200$ in upgrades into it.

The guy making this video seems like he has no concept of what people do with these two types of cars. Obviously the Typhon is designed for track racing, while the Granite is designed for jumping, flipping and bashing. OBVIOUSLY, the suspensions will be completely different from each other. SMH

Groms jump better for sure, especially the Typhon. The mini Maxx looks like it jumps like crap being so nose heavy with little air control. I have a sensored system for mine (when it finally shows up) that I hope will help with that

Traxxas and Arrma both are keeping it hot. I have both brands and love them both. Man we got Arrma, Traxxas, Losi and Redcat in the house. I enjoy the hobby. People don't know how to enjoy life.

Yes, agreed center diff helps a lot. It helps more on landing than taking off jumps as let say your front or back wheels hit the ground first all that torque is being transferred into the center diff then the opposite front or back and saving your gears in the process

I like the size. The standards for rc should be 3s not to mention this is a bit bigger than grom. It’s making Traxxas look bad that arrma can do it. Traxxas said to upgrade the center diff if youre running 3s. I’m sure everyone want to go to 3s so we are looking at 450$ for a 3s mini maxx. I like Traxxas but they’re too expensive. I’m so thankful that Arrma and other brands like Rlarrlo are around. It’s making Traxxas to come with new things and most importantly price cuts. lol just look at Rlarrlo rog1 it’s 150$ same size as this
