- dbw (drive by wire): throttle body is controlled via a wire, and sensor. throttle is electronically opened based on the sensor on the gas pedal telling it how far to open.. - dbc (drive by cable): throttle body is controlled via a throttle cable that connects directly from the gas pedal, to the throttle body. mechanically opening the throttle. suuuuuper simple. ones controlled by a sensor and ones controlled by a cable :) hope this helps lol

⁠@@vyunjdm it means the throttle is electronic while drive by cable is throttle using a long cable that pulls on the throttle body as u press on the gas pedal to accelerate ur car
