Thank you for generously posting this excellent resource along with Food Addiction 101 and other videos. In deference to our Black and Brown kin, would you consider using the term "bare-knuckling" instead of "white-knuckling?"

Some may have thyroid problems. Either Geaves disease (which makes people overweight) or Hashimoto. (Which makes people overweight, too) It's the foods we're getting from stores.

Very true. But also, food addiction has been clearly seen in brain scans at this point. 👍🏼

It's a crime that we call Doritos food. It's a crime that we call Oreo cookies food. There are concoctions made up by research chefs in laboratories And designed to turn normal eaters into food addict.

I think the created will agree with me but: Remember without you putting in the effort to help yourself no medical provider can help you. If you don’t try to help yourself with therapy you won’t get better, if you don’t tell your doctor/therapist what is wrong/worrying you you won’t even get diagnosed and will be sent away with a clean bill of health, if you don’t do what you promised-be it taking pills, exercising, practicing wellness, or caring for your body YOU WILL NOT HEAL.

This is a point of wisdom to acknowledge our counterculture lifestyle in recovery. The impact my recovery has on others… How much is that my business? I finally found my lane which is total abstinence and I need to stay in my lane. I can be sensitive to others needs, reactions, realities, and at the same time I need to be fiercely and lovingly protective of my abstinence.

This is how I feel about trying to quit smoking. It’s just slow motion suicide.

Right! And the slow motion effect makes it even harder to break free from denial...

I’m so glad to see food and recovery together. It’s never talked about and it’s the biggest addiction today in America, if not the world

I hear you! It's the leading cause of death if you think about it.
We all started out like this, but we found through experience that this program works. It's worked for thousands of food addicts, and it can work for you ❤
