Completely agree,. There is a free e-book/guide that helped me a lot with pain: "Recovery Strategies - Pain Guidebook - Greg Lehman" (you can easily find it on Google or other search engines). In hindsight, the main issue for me was catastrophysing the situation: it must be damage, I'm "broken" and there is no way to fix this. Accepting the idea that pain does not equal damange and continuing to exercise by adapting the movements and load got me out of pain.

Thanks for the video, I dont really have pain in my shoulder anymore, just some popping when I reach my arm across my body sometimes. Should I do exercises that make it pop in the same way as well?

Could you tell me how you came to calculating your marcro's?
@charlesmulliner9 ай бұрын
Of course so with protein I was aiming for 1g per pound of bodyweight which is 205 but I constantly overshot due to the amount of food so I bumped that up. Fat I was initially aiming for 0.5g per pound but I find it so hard to eat enough that basically I have as many carbs as I can and fill in the gaps with fats. Since fats have 9 cals per gram it's way easier to eat enough. After a few months of trial and error I found these to be sustainable

The split jerk allows you to drop under the bar a bit and the split stance is typically more balanced than squatting underneath

How to break squat plateau: 1. 800 meters of frog jumps (Tian Tao method) 2. Recover for one week 3.??? 4. Squat PB +10kg Alternatively, you can do 1000m of lunges :) the best thing about this that you will never get sore legs ever again
@charlesmulliner9 ай бұрын
Not sure I recommend this 😂. 1000m of lunges is brutal
@horizonforevergold9 ай бұрын
I also did back-to-back repeats with 100m of lunges and 300 m sprinting, typically 4 laps total. It was rather useful for a trail run, where the last 200 m is minimum 30° steep. With weightlifting training I feel like I always have that extra bit in reserve, should I need it. 4x10 squats/pulls still brutal :D
@EnricoMarino139 ай бұрын
I haven't tried any of these yet. I do think that clusters will be great since it is time efficient. One thing I have done is doing a heavier weight with less ROM and the do lighter reps at full ROM. It has helped me with confidence which is my issue. Paused squats helped me build better mobility and confidence.
@charlesmulliner9 ай бұрын
Clusters are my favourite for sure. I haven't messed around with low ROM movements much, I did heavy box squats in the past and they can definitely help with confidence which as I said in the video can be huge!
@EnricoMarino139 ай бұрын
Yes I have been doing basic strength progression I took from one Zach Telanders videos. I got to a 135 10 rm. My problem has been anything about 137 scares me so I had to ease my way in. Last week I did 150 for triples with good form. is a slow process. My fear comes from passing out while squatting in college, I lifted without any breakfast lol.@@charlesmulliner
