Not bone stock. Just FMF pipe silencer, Boyesen rad valve, Wiseco pro lite piston, light porting to the cylinder, Apex head, gytr flywheel weight and some little extras. Motul 800 mixed 32:1 with C12 💪🏼

I haven’t seen any reviews on the linkage. Was there enough of a difference for the money?

I did like the linkage. This was the first run at the linkages. Definitely made the rear more stable and stayed under you more. With the other linkage it was violent. Harder to keep the rear under you. The current setting we have is without the linkage. But I haven’t tried their latest setting with it. But I’m sure it’s better. Than what I have now. Definitely need the performance pistons front and rear. If you got with the linkage they need to do an internal change to accommodate it. It isn’t just a bolt on part.

@@tywoz760 thank you for the input. they did my suspension in 22 but I didn’t do the linkage and the performance valve wasnt available for the rear. The front has the performance valve. I recently sent the shock out to have them do the linkage, shock modification, and the performance valve. I should have it back Tuesday. They recommended running a lot more sag in the rear (106-110) with the modification. Hopefully it takes care of the issue like you described and that high feeling in the rear going into and out of corners. I appreciate the input!

My fastest on this was 1:54. On the 2 smoke different day was a 1:48. 1:50-:51 on average.

Down on power a little bit but it's definitely a good bike. Unless youre trying to be a 1% pro it's all about preference. If you like it and you're comfortable that's all that matters.

Honestly nowadays it’s pick a color and spend time with it. They are all good. Just preferences of what you like. But any new bike is really. Just gotta spend the time and set it up right for the rider. Chassis setup is key. Motor can come later.

@@tywoz760 I just got my suspension done for the first time ever. I used to ride woods a lot but I joined the military and I’m stationed over here in Japan and there’s a lot of track riding here. After I got my suspension done I got faster just by having good suspension so I see what you’re saying. Just wanted a fast guys opinion lmao

Tyler, I’m coming off of a KTM 150sx, and considering stepping up to a YZ250. I’m about 200lbs in all my gear, and I’m roughly an intermediate rider. Do you think a YZ250 would be a good choice over a 350F or 450F?

I would say 2 stroke would be a good choice since you are already on a 2 stroke. Keeping cost low on maintenance since it’s a 2 stroke. You can race that one bike in multiple classes. And 250 2 strokes are just fun bikes.

Usually 450 I’m 1 second or 1.5 seconds faster on. Depends on the track though. Recently at NJ FOD it’s been super close. But usually 450 takes the win.

@@tywoz760 Thanks, I just installed a fatty and shorty on my yz 250, I have a 178 main jet, the spark plug has a good color, I use Motul 800 at 40:1 but most of the pilots I ask use 180, the temperature is around 22 to 28 degrees I like to always wear the 2T on the rich side, I will try the 180, greetings, thank you
