hello, ho notato soprattutto nella testata piezo, il suono acustico è cambiato, non è più caldo e rotondo come prima... ma più freddo e spigoloso, più frequenze alte e cristalline, secondo me questo cambio ( almeno a mio parere ) fa perdere molto alla tipologia del suono

is not about a plugin hub, its having that hub you said BUT as a pedal board what we want!!... an empty sheel of a quad cortext if you wish. I dont care about the 1097409174 amps of the QC, Im extremely happy with my Petrucci n Rabea, I jsut want a pedal board that I could 1- control the pluggins and switch patches(like a midi controler), and 2- be able to take it anywhere wihtout having to drag my laptop/interface

Yeah, I don't think that will happen anytime soon. The Cortex line is the flagship. I don't play live really at all, so having a hub software would be phenomenal

I think it means that it's an updated version of the original petrucci archetype

It means it will be cross compatible with Quad Cortex, all the plugins are in the process to be promoted to a X version. Not just that they improved the visual and some internal sound processing. The old Petrucci version was visually too dark, now the X version is very good and better looking.

If you have downloaded the standalone you can just look it up on your computer for archetype: petrucci X and you’ll be able to open it. Then you wanna make sure it’s properly set up with your audio interface and whatnot, just go to settings and make sure it’s set to what you are using

I personally use Reaper to open any amp modelers. The latency is a few milliseconds, but it's tolerable.

Im not against 8 strings though i prefer 7, my problem is people get a detuned ax, play with one finger and ride the open. Both 7 and 8 strings have so much more sonic opportunities than tryin to be the next KittieBisketKorn.

I love my 7, but my 8 is really nice to have as well. I think my perfect, dream guitar would be an 8-string tho. Just because uou have all those strings doesn't necessarily mean you NEED to use them all for everything

What gauge range of strings do u got goin here? I got a 8-str Multi-Sc with 28 inch Sc-Length and use a .65 or .70 on the low for Drop F# (seems to give me good results)... Cheers friends :)

I don't think there's anything in there you don't get in any DAW. I get you might like the convenience of just chucking one vst on the mix; but for me its not worth the inconvenience of getting the plugin. You can save effect chains and templates in most DAWs. But hey, it's a good video. Interesting demo.

Some people need to conserve CPU. Even I do on dense Mixes, and I have a pretty powerful PC. Also, some people don't want to learn all the nuances of compression, EQ, limiting, etc, and this plugin combines them all and makes it simple. It's good for those who don't already have fx chains saved, templates, or preferred methods. It's simple and easy. 🤷‍♂️
