This is basically the origin of the demons in Devilman but made kid-friendly. In Devilman, demons ate the creatures, but the monsters here just eat the same things the animals eat.

I kinda wished they reworked this into Monsters University as something they had to watch on a projector screen.

So, monsters don't just scare humans for energy, but as a way to get revenge on them.

I find monsters Inc to be an overrated movie. I just find it uncreative. Yes. A movie about monsters working in a factory to scare kids for energy and think they are poisonous is pretty creative but they make the world generic and very boring in my opinion. The original version is how it think the film should had been like in the final film. It looks very funny and make interesting. If they kept this idea it would had made monsters Inc a creative movie. Am sorry. In my opinion the monsters are just like humans.

After many years of monsterizing humans, the Monsters discovered that the screams could be a power source, and that children are easy to scare so they built the city of Monstropolis, using children’s screams as a power source. A monster founded Monsters Incorporated and invented doors that lead to children’s bedrooms all over the world, he also tricked the other monsters onto thinking humans are toxic to them, leading to the creation of the CDA (Child Detection Agency). Monsters University is created and the Scare Games happened annually.

I remember hearing somewhere that the bobcat was forced/chased by the filmmakers to climb up the cactus and this was all staged, and that when the bobcat didn't came down and got too many injuries from the cactus they shot it. Does anyone know if this is true or just a myth? Because Disney did something similar in another documentary about the arctic where they purposefully chased/threw lemmings off a cliff, and portrayed it as if they were jumping off a cliff by themselves (this is where the whole wrong myth about lemmings killing themselves came from), so it is plausible they would do something similar here as well, but I haven't found any sources confirming that online. Does anyone know if this is true?
