He is correct. Most likely f the time those "faithfully ones" are faithful to men but not to God. Unfortunately I've seen it. The Lord permitted me to see it for this one reason, so I can keep my eyes on him. I've seen things such as, people that miss one or two Sundays and even the pastor is preaching about them going to hell, but I never saw any of them visit and wonder why they aren't going, so yes, Ezequiel speaks about all of this. But we are to follow God and his truth. God is faithful and we ought to be faithful to him the best we can, and when we feel we can't, we ought to ask him to help us.

Hypocrites cannot cease sinning: Hypocrites continuously lie to God, themselves, and others. They will say one thing, but do the opposite. They place man and themselves before God, with the intent to appear righteous before their peers. Yet behind closed doors, they live like demons in the eyes of God. Sin is a choice-it is not by force. Making a mistake is bad enough and still requires repentance, but those who choose to sin are inviting Satan into their lives. One sin after another, Satan now has won over them and they belong to him (2 Corinthians 4:4). They are hypocrites because they deny God before man-therefore, Jesus will deny them before his Father who is in heaven (Matthew 10:33).
