If you were older, Paul Skinner would be a well known name. He had a long layoff for family and only just made a comeback with this Pilot Lazer powered by a DLE 130, Zimmermann cans and Biela prop…later changed to a 28x12 as the 29x10 could rip 😊 Powerbox Atom and MacGregor servos, all from Motors & Rotors

Defo a bit tail heavy watching it fly, you did well to not smash it completely, soft grass and brambles saved it! I wrote off a YT Hurricane that was tail heavy, Spitfires don't take prisoners, but are a joy to fly when all set up.

Hola... me podrías pasar a cuántos centímetros desde el borde de ataque tenés el CG ? Tuviste que agregar peso en la nariz ? Cuanto peso ? Gracias... Estoy poniendo en vuelo uno igual...
@Bravo303
@Bravo303 17 күн бұрын

That's interesting! Planes have definitely come a long way in terms of technology and reliability. These RC planes today are much lighter and more durable, with better flight control systems. Plus, with simulators and practice areas, pilots can hone their skills before ever taking a plane up at an airshow.

They look sweet flying but doesn't that take the gliding part out of glider.
@Bravo303
@Bravo303 Ай бұрын
That's a great question! You're right, traditional gliders rely solely on air currents to stay aloft. However, there's a whole category of RC planes called Powered Gliders (or Powered Sailplanes) that combine the elegance of gliding with the flexibility of a motor. This allows for easier takeoffs, extended flights by finding thermals, and even some basic aerobatics!
