The death was signaled by the handoff. Then the radical change to the very nature of the game, changing it from a dogfight game into an objective game. This was a good game, killed by idiocy. I definitely checked out with the rules change to 3.0 sold my entire collection a year ago. Glad I got out at the upside.

Hello! I have a few notes: could you make Stealth device medium or large ship only, or cloak action. Seems silly the phantom doesn’t have access to it anymore. Also please make the elite Falcons and Decimator higher cost and give them more loadout. I can’t list build with their limitations, I think it would make the standard loadout falcons hit the table more. But yeah it’s hard to list build any of these big rotating turret ships. Those would be my main asks but if you’re feeling generous, could you also look at revisiting variable points such as hull/shield based on agility, or swarm tactics based on initiative

Tbh for me personaly its sad news. Was hoping they jump back to 200 p. Without scenario play etc. We had like 5 years of work, balancing etc. done for it from the og devs. Trying to fix a system that had a huge player decline and not enough time and understanding of the game doesnt make sense to me. I know there is lagecy around but spliting a community that struggles allready doesnt feel good. But hoping the best for the game! Gl xwa

Hi there, Daniel from Brazil here. It's nice to see you guys again! I dislike very much the XWA new point list... and not in the mood to teste it right now. That's why: Hid point from lists (yeah, I understand the point's list dilema, but there's some ways to mitigate that - for example, give that points to another ship already in play), allow former banned items without reviewing the rules (dial peeking, changing dials, etc). About point's philosophy: Why some pilots can't have this heavy and light loadout to players to choose a version to play with? The game was given less rounds when the cap size increases, loaded generics would bring more ships into play, and this sounds bad to me. But I agree these last things need to be tested, and it's very difficult with all extended ships came into play (boosted) in same time. See ya!

A change to the points is my main hope. A ship can be "brokenly overpowered" at 3 points, yet be "completely trash" at 4 points. There's no room for tweaking that, you have to redesign the loadout - which brings its own cost problems. The more obvious (to me, anyway) answer is to cost the ship somewhere in the middle. So, is this ship "competitive" at 3.6 points, for example? For simplicity, change squad points from 20->200 and multiply all ship costs by 10, to start. Doing this means that nothing has, actually, changed - but, it will allow easier tweaking/balancing going forward....

Our group just started playing our own mix of 2.0 and 2.5 rules and I kinda like the no action and no shot being someone who has literally never played 2.0 before. Also LSO was awesome and a great time :D

I'd be excited to see: more freedom and creativity in list-building, a return to a simpler form of the game (cut some of the rules bloat), a faster paced game (less mechanics per round), an easier game to teach to someone, a stronger community

I don’t mind ROAD… I’m good with either way… but initiative issue to me might be that you can’t be ‘initiative killed’ … I think that’s the bigger problem … maybe change to all ships get to engage the round they are killed in. Balances it out a little… thoughts???

Ran that same Scum list a Worlds and it did solidly. Chamblee counterplayed it perfectly in our LSO match. I'd played against another RAC on Day 1 and couldn't manage to get Chamblee's on day 2

I have a feeling with Paul on the building of the new format it will probably be 2.5 even though the majority seems to be wanting 2.0.

I sadly stepped away from the game for a few years, and recently I got my life back together only to discover not only had I lost everything to my ex selling it, but this. So I've been frantically buying all the 1 and 2.0 stuff I can find on ebay to replace everything and I guess I better get my ass in gear getting to tournaments. So I don't want this game to die. Despite stepping away (it was not really by choice) it's been a major part of my life and cannot describe how bad that messed me up to see that post. It can't die. We have to keep it alive. I'm no lightweight either in xwing I may not have won 1st at most of the big events I went too but I almost never made it below top 4 (except when I took interceptor deci to the last 1.0 worlds thst was a bad meta call, so many vcx autoblasters and defenders) I want to do whatever I can to help keep this alive

It’s nice going back and watching 2.0 x wing. Stopped playing at 2.5 but really hope x wing is picked back up and brought back to the glory days of 2.0

Out of curiosity: will be Worlds'24 recorded matches available somwhere? Do you plan to post it? Would be nice to rewatch them, especially that meta will not shift dramaticaly until next worlds given current circumstances.

I am from Hungary. We had a strong community with the first edition. Even with import taxes. People played it in stores, tournaments. Then second edition came out and half of the player-base left not swallowing the fact that they need to buy 3 separate upgrade packages just to re-buy everything. I gave all my ships to my friend who played 2.0. and I moved out of the country. Last time I asked my friend if he still plays he said something. He said on one of the last championships the player give up the match after a first turn stating that the dice rolls and combos shot down half of his ships and not able to get back or chance to even get to draw. FIRST TURN. What I don't get is the license of Star Wars. FFG, Asmodee then AMG. Paying for the ship-designs, characters then letting the whole thing crumble. I feel this game will be like Android Netrunner if they can figure out the licensing issues. Same way FFG let down the fans. Releasing the Revised Core set for Android Netrunner in 2017 and dropping everything in 2018. Luckily the fans picked up the game and made it even better today with Nullsignal Games and fan-made efforts.

I'm actually super excited for the next chapter in this game. It felt like AMG never had enough resources to give us what we deserved for the game. And now hopefully we will get to see X-wing at its full potential with so much heart driving its development. It's still my favorite miniatures game after all these years, and I don't think lack of official content is going to change that for me. Just some good adjustments to keep it dialed in. Sky's the limit. Fly casual
