Seeing footage of Ed Parker breaking it down for his students...makes one aware of how vital it is to have a great instructor...in this case the "father of American Kenpo". When I studied Chito-Ryu as a kid my Sensei never broke it dow. Never took the time to explain body mechanics. They would just show us how and we'd try to copy them. They never really watched you and corrected you when you didn't get it right. When you were in the wrong position. Not that there weren't good martial arts schools in my city of Toronto. But I don't think any of them had the level of instruction available in Los Angeles where so many of the "big names" happen to be. Not sure how this came to be. Making LA the "mecca of martial arts". All the top names are there. Dan Inosanto, Philip & Simon Rhee, Bong Soo Han, Benny Urquidez...

Gloves man! You'll get messed up if you don't have the gloves. And definitely need to set the helmet strap. Probably another 5-10 seconds but still quick time. Good job.

I think a lot of students had a hard time processing the drill from an attacker's perspective, especially when the order got mixed up in the back-and-forth pattern. Next time should be better!
