Frankly I've never seen anything so irresponsible. To promote this as a method for dismantling high energy springs only shows how little thought went into this idea. To state that "it's kinda dangerous" is an understatement. Promoting anything other than a method that absolutely safeguards against the accidental release of the spring is downright criminal. Zip ties and wobbly C clamps...!!! Are you kidding me..??? WTF dude. Just because you are comfortable using this method does not mean that some poor sod is not going to hurt himself REALLY badly when his choice of zip tie breaks on him and the clamp disengages from the spring. I applaud those individuals who come up with ideas that are truly innovative and help folks like us get around having to buy special tools but only if those ideas are based in sound understanding of the what's involved. You have NO idea. Take this video down immediately before someone really hurts themselves.

Do you have to do anything to the shock after cleaning it, other than put it back together and put it on the bike? Do people ever lube the springs? Mine seem to work great but they’re a little squeaky sometimes.
