How long have you had your Sinus? I have had one since June. I love it. I have only had a couple opportunities to soar with it so far.

What do you use that displays that info on the vid?

It’s captured within the GoPro. The GoPro software allowed you to overlay it but they no longer support that. Now you have to use a 3rd party software.

May I ask what software you used for the “May 18th spirals” video?
@rv7apilot2 жыл бұрын
That was the GoPro software before the GoPro 8 came out. When that happened they no longer allow the use of it any longer. There are other software packages that allow the overlay but I didn’t research them.

Good on you for making it back and even better on you for being willing to share the experience! We're always hesitant to share examples of our own poor aviation decision making (we all have them), but it's through sharing them with each other that we all get better and save other people from repeating them! Kudos again!

Animoooooooo QUE TENGAN UNA EXCELENTE TARDE !!!!!!

Im slowly gonna start piecing together my build this summer, used all the way around. lol i wanted to have a chute but they cost more than an engine
@jimdiskin37603 жыл бұрын
so your life is not worth more than a used ultralight engine? you might want to give that outlook a very serious re-think. if you do get one, it's really important that you follow the re-pack guidelines. my quicksiver had a ballistic chute. thankfully i never needed it. however the time i got hit on my motorcycle by a driver who ran a red light? i very distinctly remember thinking as i soared that 30 feet or so through the air how glad i was to be wearing a helmet. the 1/4 inch deep, one inch wide and 3 inch long gouge left in the top of it totally reinforced that gladness. i'm guessing as one plummeted to earth after an unforeseen structural failure there'd be enough time to really, really regret that earlier dollars-over-safety decision. you know, before that permanent 'lights out' moment. i truly hope you never experience such an event. why take extra chances on it? .

@@goaway7346 seemingly the only camera used was mounted to show the pilot's visual perspective. one camera is fine, and if only using one it's the logical choice. .

Are you completely happy with the f-23? Have you flown other engines? Is the vibration as minimal as they claim? Thx!
@rv7apilot3 жыл бұрын
Yes I am happy with it. I have flown the 503. The Hirth is smoother and feels more powerful. Not to mention it’s lighter. But man since I bought mine in 2016 they have gone up in price. Mine is carbureted and would recommend it over FI. It’s not that hard to put 7.2oz of oil in a 5 gallon jug when you fill it.
