@@CBRN-115 darktide has a lot of variables that affect damage. Difficulty, weapon rarity + stats, perks, enemy types. Don’t let this video skew your thoughts on the gun

i always thought the role of pistols in the game should have been to enable you to shoot and melee seamlessly, trying to make them compete with long guns is weird. imagine the special ability of pistols being that you can take a swipe with your equipped melee weapon in your offhand, or even perform whole light combos. would have made their role way more clear

Recoil is rough too, makes sense y but still annoying. Not really worth replacing by revolver.

It's not as much as people not liking the weapons as it is about the fact that they want a bit more content from the game. But yeah these are nice additions to our arsenal

They also buffed the enemies health pool so now my horde clearing sword is like paper on pox walkers this was a bad update if i knew this was going to be the case in 2024 would have never bought the game fatshark might actually be as lazy as mojang

First one is standard fire, second one is rapid fire

@@weefatpie all of them have standard and rapid fire. The first weapon, and the second weapon, I can't tell them mechanically apart save for maybe their appearance.

@@levikarkiainen331 Second variant's rapid fire mode is a fast burst, while the first one's is full auto. Notably, from first to last they get heavier, and likely do more damage at the cost of affected handling and less ammo in the mag.

@@levikarkiainen331 Mk II is the highest base damage and highest recoil of the rippergun variants, with a very aggressive 3-round burst while mobile and a slower and more controllable auto-fire while deployed with a minimum 2-round burst. Mk V also has a 3-round burst while mobile, but its spread is much tighter and recoil is much less aggressive, making it better at engaging specials and elites at range but less effective at sweeping hordes. The Mk V's deployed fire also still has a minimum 3-round burst, but has a very high autofire rate. Mk VI is an odd one, with tight two-round burst on the move and non-auto 3-round burst while deployed. It's the most controllable and potentially ammo-efficient of the bunch, at the expense of lower base damage and less upfront firepower.

@@flauntingfloof I didn't see any indication that it was bust and not full auto. Everything save for the third weapon seemed to be identical in first and second fire mode.
