I take my canned Tuna and put it into a strainer. Turn the water on and rinse the tuna trying to remove any trace of salt.Salt is horrible for anybody especially for dogs. dry it off by letting it dry as much as possible. Happy the recipe does not contain Peanut Butter as commercial peanut butter contains ingredients that are not good for dogs. Home made peanut is very easy to make with a blender

This is an EXCELLENT Video...Love it... but in the last 5 years I have used Canned Salmon instead of Tuna... Tuna has been reported to have too much Mercury in it... Scary. Thank you for sharing this great video.

Just wondering when you say water? As the Tuna here is in brine or oil. Can you please clarify if you would use brine water? Thanks a million. I make a different dog dog treat I make as my beautiful Bedlington Terriers are getting old. They range in age from 15 to 11. The oldest has an issue with her liver and the youngest has gone completely blind. They have given me hours of love and laughs at their antics. Great video. I have a mini poodle who NEVER wants to be alone. Never seen signs of stress.

I wanted a smaller batch. I used 2 cans tuna to 1 cup flour and 1 egg. Spread it in my Ninja Foodi XL grill with a spatula and baked for 20 minutes at 350. No sticking at all and they loved it! I have also made it with added cheese.

My little Louis loves these. I remember they were a bit tough on my hands and wrists the first time I made them, so I did things the second time around. I used a potato masher to mush up the tuna and the eggs. Then I added the flour a cup at a time using a wooden spoon, then at some point, I just started mixing with my hand and kneaded a bit till it was all mixed in. I also used my hand to put it on the baking sheet and to spread! So much easier. Louis will be happy to have a stash of his favorite treat now! Thank you

This all makes great sense, and I'm guessing this takes some time for your dog to keep in mind that you have really awesome treats, but squirrels are even cooler! So, what happens if he doesn't listen, despite you being armed with his all-time favorite treats?

I just wanted to thank-you for this recipe. My GSD absolutely loves these treats. I used parchment paper on the cookie sheet which eliminated the sticking issue. Keep your hands wet and it’s the easiest recipe ever! Thank-you again! Only warning is your house smells like fish sticks for a couple of days.😁
