Apparently in S12 you have a larger contrast range to work with. However, from my point of view, the only reason that I would upgrade S11 is ClearView improvement.

Yes, ClearView is one of the key improvements in the new version. But I am not aware of the Contrast Range. Where did you find the information from?
@aldogentile245
@aldogentile245 4 күн бұрын
@@Light_Camera_Story .Based on the results, with the same amount of contrast in both version the S12 photo is more dark than the other one. So we might reduce the contrast from that extreme condition in order to get a good picture. On the hand, It wouldn't be possible to get higher contrast than he got in the S11 photo. Of course I'm just theorizing about the topic.

Thanks for this... I have Pro 11, but was disappointed in Panasonic G9ii raw conversion using Clearview. I switched to DxO PL8 as it does a much better job. I'm wondering if it is worth upgrading to Silkypix Pro 12 but only if there have been improvements to raw conversion.

@@RayTaylorQ From my experience, DXO PL is technically excellent. But, to achieve some beautiful colours I recommend creating your own presets or buying Dxo Filmpack. Now, Silkypix has some excellent advantages. It gives some nice natural colour. Photos are natural looking. Shadow to highlight transition is excellent. And it has Polygon tool. Now, if you don't use old cameras or do not exceed iso 6400 in modern cameras, I recommend SP 11. SP 12 is not necessary. Unless they add some new features in future updates.

@@Light_Camera_StoryThanks for the tip. I will forego SP12 upgrade or wait for Boxing Day :-) as the new interface looks good. Depending on the subject I agree about Silkypix rendering, especially skin tones. Yes I just bought DxO film pack on Black Friday mainly because I can create LUTs to use in the G9ii. My long term goal is to get to JPEGs out of the camera but to have the raw backup that I can refine the result. In other words minimize the amount of time on the computer post processing.

Thank you for the videos and showing the updates to Silkypix 12. I currently use Silkypix11 Pro. Other than the user interface changing and the dehaze engine working better, I am still not convinced to purchase Silkypix 12. I use a Fujifilm camera and I still think Silkypix is one of the best for editing images for Fujifilm's sensor. What I can't accomplish on Silkypix I then import the image to Affinity Photo and have always had great results. I will see what else you show to see if the upgrade is worth it.

Thank you for creating this series on the new Silkypix 12 edition, as you mention, Capture One is a fantastic tool, but a bit too full on for me. I've always gone back to Silkypix for my printing and processing, and I'm looking forward to your tutorial series. This version of Silkypix is by far the best layout they've done, and with your help, I'm hoping my image processing frustrations will be a thing of the past. 👍

*Chapter 1: Introduction (**0:00** - **1:13**)* Don't forget to check the description for discounts and special offers. We're going to take a look at Silkypig's Developer Studio Pro 12, the latest version of their software. *Chapter 2: My Experience with Photo Editing Software (**1:13** - **2:06**)* I'm one of the first serious users of photo editing software on KZbin. There are thousands of software options available, both paid and free. The top contenders are Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Capture One, followed by DXO, PhotoLab, and various plug-ins. *Chapter 3: Why I Choose Silkypig (**2:06** - **2:42**)* While other software exists, like Affinity Photo, my focus is on Silkypig. I've created many tutorials on it, and I believe it's a powerful tool. *Chapter 4: Interface and Features (**2:42** - **5:00**)* The interface has been updated. On the left, you'll find folders, metadata, editing history, and tests and parameters. You can create presets or "tastes" for your edits. The import process is streamlined, and you can rename and organize files directly upon import. *Chapter 5: Editing Tools and Workflow (**5:00** - **6:30**)* The editing tools are comprehensive, including exposure bias, gray balance, black level, skin color, chromatic evolution, and more. You can also use the partial correction tool for precise adjustments. The software offers a seamless workflow, allowing you to directly open edited images in other software like Photoshop or Luminar Neo. *Chapter 6: The Loop Tool (**6:30** - **7:10**)* One new feature is the Loop tool, which allows you to zoom in and out more precisely. This is a handy addition, especially for detailed editing. *Chapter 7: The Palm Tool (**7:10** - **7:28**)* The Palm tool is another useful feature, allowing you to pan the image without zooming. This is particularly helpful when working on large images. *Chapter 8: Organization and Workflow Tips (**7:28** - **8:15**)* I prefer a simpler approach to organization. I recommend taking fewer photos and focusing on quality over quantity. By organizing your hard drive efficiently, you can save time and effort. *Chapter 9: The Future of Photo Editing (**8:15** - **8:51**)* I envision a future where different photo editing software can seamlessly communicate with each other, sharing edits and markings. While this may be a distant dream, Silkypig is taking steps in the right direction with features like object information filters and polygon tools. *Chapter 10: A Powerful Tool (**8:51** - **9:18**)* Silkypig Developer Studio Pro 12 is a powerful and versatile photo editing tool. It offers a wide range of features and a user-friendly interface. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced photographer, this software is worth considering. *Chapter 11: A Personal Perspective (**9:18** - **9:39**)* I believe Silkypig can rival Adobe Lightroom in terms of features and capabilities. It's a complete tool that allows you to edit your photos with precision and creativity. *Chapter 12: The Importance of Good Photos (**9:39** - **10:11**)* Remember, a good photo is the foundation of any great edit. Don't rely solely on software to fix poor images. Take your time, compose carefully, and use the right settings. *Chapter 13: The Future of Photo Editing (**10:11** - **10:36**)* As technology continues to evolve, we can expect to see even more innovative photo editing tools. While it's exciting to anticipate the future, it's important to focus on the present and make the most of the tools we have available today. *Chapter 14: Final Thoughts (**10:36** - **10:51**)* I'm impressed with the latest version of Silkypig. It's a powerful and versatile tool that can help you create stunning images. *Chapter 15: Conclusion (**10:51** - **10:56**)* I encourage you to give Silkypig a try. It's a great option for photographers of all levels.

Thank you for the video comparisons with the different photo editing software for Fuji Cameras. I do agree with you that SilkyPix does the best for Fuji Film simulations and Fuji photo editing. You are the only content creator that I know of that supports SilkyPix which is much appreciated. The reason why I don't think SilkyPix gets noticed is because it is not the easiest photo editing tool to use and not much tutorials for it. Keep up the good work.

DXO est absolument le meilleur, il tire le meilleur parti de la qualité des images, en particulier DXO DeepPrimeXD2s....en général, DXO a la meilleure réduction du bruit. DXO est complètement gagnant, aucun autre programme ne peut rivaliser.
@Light_Camera_Story
@Light_Camera_Story 2 ай бұрын
@TechQualityBestKing
@TechQualityBestKing 2 ай бұрын
