2/5 This story had potential, especially as an allegory to modern life with the Time Eater as a constant enemy. However, the characters were less than 1 dimensional, they were just names. Even the main character had no personality. He succeeded with little effort in solving the puzzles, the puzzles weren't even things the reader could try to solve along with the character. The brief detour into the city did not further build the character of the city and also was solved with ease by the main character. No emotion in this story, might have been written by AI except that AI usually knows to not have the character immediately solve their problem with basically no issues. There was little description and the descriptions that were given were not helpful. This is an outline of a story that could have been turned into something interesting but instead, the rough draft was set to narration. The narrator did a good job.
