I wanted to try that place … but we just don’t have one here in Everett Washington… they shut down a year ago and I just moved year 3 months ago! 😞

That's a bummer. But if you make a trip back down this way for sure it's worth a stop. Up in your neck of the woods, poulsbo wa. Is an awesome bakery called sluys, also worth checking out. An interesting video on a great family park. I first visited it over 50 years ago with my young children. It has a very long history going back to 1925 , 100 years when a private family ran it as a swim park/boating/fishing/Dance hall/camping picnic area. In 1960 the County purchased the 185 acre property and made into the county park it is today. Another interesting historical feature is that explorers Lewis & Clark stopped there to visit a large Nichaquwili Indian village and documented their experience. The park is a definite gem in the county park system.

One fact I neglect to add. The park is actually located in the City of Fairview, Oregon. Troutdale is the next city east of that location.

This was probably recommended to me because heron lakes is my home course lol. But green is the easier one. Great blue is definitely more challenging.

Being a vet, why don't you just come out with some other vets and regularly maintain this monument, instead of just batching that someone else..lead the way..flyboy!

Here is why. I already did my service to the country. Plus we all already paid for the monument. So the city maintenance workers that are supposed to do that sort thing, also paid by us, can go handle it. I already lead the way by making this video and showing what needs to be done.

Well Kenny because you bother3d to write I will explain. We planned this whole trip to see the (a) mushroom field. But my fault. Didn't research enough first. I looked on map and saw roads that led to where the field is on a map. But when we got to it, it ends up being a small one lane rutted rocky dirt forest service road not meant for a Nissan Altima. So I made it in as far as I could without fear of getting stuck. The video is a place or 2 I stopped to turn around an Hopefully see a patch. But alas no luck.
