Both were from 120 minutes and if i remember correctly, they were supposed to play electric but paul had problems getting into the country and was tied up in customs, so they were without drums. A blessing, considering these two wonderful performances. Johnette has one of the most powerful, original voices and she takes chances in her live performances, vocal gymnastics that no current singer would dare attempt. Real passion and commitment. Gives a fella chills.

i remember seeing both songs performed. can't remember what show- i do remember johnette saying that they were sans drummer because paul was held up in customs and couldn't get into the country. next time i saw them, they had harry drumming. thank you for posting this. i almost started to believe i imagined this performance. one would be hard pressed to match the passion in this woman's voice. this was an excellent band to see live, as johnette gave so much. Thank you again for the post.

I think Howard was just acting like a man, or woman, who like most, would agree that Nancy looks great, AND also is an amazing guitarist and singer. If you want to name some REAL slime balls, you might mention Bill O'Reilly or Rush Limbaugh. Howard is a very nice man off the air, and his show is just a show. If you don't like it, don't listen or watch. Nancy obviously had a good time.

You obviously didn't see the entire interview. Only Howard could get Nancy to sing a song originally sung by Ann. Before you make a comment, preface it by saying "in your opinion," as in my opinion, she appeared to have a great time on the show, and if she was ignoring him, it certainly didn't show when she answered all of his questions. And, if he is such a slime ball, as you write, why would Nancy go on his show? Are you saying SHE is a phony? Yes, Nancy Rocks, and Howard tells it like it is!

Nancy rocks!! I've had a bit of a crush on her ever since hearing her harmonic vocals on "Dog & Butterfly". :p I didn't know she had stopped being blonde, though. I recently got the "Heart Alive in Seattle" BluRay disc. It's a video of their concert in Seattle in 2002. It's great!

I must confess I absolutely have no clue about American Radio, but the only person I know off in recent history is Howard. I wonder why would that be? He's got to calibrate. I think he got her out of an embarrassing moment, so please just in the slight chance that you are dont be envious. He did good.

Well, she "broke character" I guess and said she didn't remember the words, so I wouldn't be too hard on him for it. I'm a much bigger Nancy fan than I am a Howard fan, and I didn't think he was that bad.
