It took me a while to realize that you can cancel a DP into SA1 by essentially using the DP input as the first QCF. I am just posting this in case anyone else is struggling. The same concept allows you to throw out a normal fireball in front of SA1 by merely doing the QCF+P twice in a row. Once you do it the first time it really clicks. With this in mind, one way that I used to practice this was by doing a very simple combo: Jump in Hp > standing HP > HDP > SA1

yeah in most cases you gotta cancel normal attacks into specials. an easy way to test this is to, do a crouching Medium kick and doing a hadouken. try timing the final button of the hadouken input to the end of the kicks attack

Tier lists are based on how easy can you get carried by the character, thus if you are good at twelve it means you are the one carrying the character with your talent, while the airhead kens mash double shoryuken and take 30% of your life.

So for the last combo THIS MORON decided to put ltatsu-dp-sa1-dp-sa1-dp which is infinitely more difficult than ltatsu-dp-sa1-sa1 which only does 4 less damage than the former. I just spent 30 minutes trying to do it just to find out it does 4 more damage??? Really??? What the fuck I’m so mad

Was playing oro and struggled like hell to combo from a jump in to close medium punch to get actually combo damage so I feel like I must return to the simple character. He is Ole reliable but im sad no chicken combo. RIP

as a oro main i agree hes a bit hard. but here's a quick tip. oro don't really have any reliable jump in attack. other than forward jump Hp both hits. And, it only works on standing characters and i don't even think it does both hits on all characters. if you want a confirm for oro's close Mp try to parry a close attack. like a ken trying to hit his target combo. or an attack with a lot of recovery frames like Q's dashing punch. you can also try and trick the opponent by dashing under there jump in to do a cross-up its risky but works al ot. another way to get Close Mp confirms is using Yagyou Dama pressure or unblockables. Example. do a back throw and bring your opponent to the corner then setup a yagou dama. then they basically have to guess if your gonna use a Crouching Lk or UOH [universal overhead] if your timings are right and they fall for the mixup you can hit confirm. and do a close Mp to continue the combo. and even lead into another yagyou mixup if you desire. also with unblockables, that is a whole other topic to cover. and would be hard to explain in a comment. sorry for the long comment btw.

seeing button inputs for these would be great. I can't seem to figure out the timing for mk - m tatsu - h tatsu. I can never get the h tatsu to go off at the end. When i try to input it early it just doesnt go off and when i do it late it misses.

the timing can be tricky but it is possible. just keep at it and you'll get it down. i dont main akuma and when making this video. i remember dropping that combo quite a bit before landing it properly, so your not alone there

@waterywaffles you can combine the motion as well. Do forward, down + MK, down forward + LK in one smooth motion. Basically pressing medium kick halfway through the demon flip input. You can also do this to combo into dps

One thing I think you should mention is that EX NDL can allow follow-ups depending on the distance from the opponent if they are in the corner. You can sit right outside the range of the opponents normals and go into EX NDL if they do something and follow-up with a heavy normal, m NDL, SA1, or do a walk into cl. MK and super jump cancel it into an IAD for a mix-up. If you stun with cl. MK you can get actually stun juggle them with a light normal or air AXE after the super jump. It might be possible to stun juggle with a different air normal but i'm not sure. Seeing the benefits of EX NDL do not be afraid to throw it out in neutral or up close as it is 0 on block suprisingly. If the opponent doesn't know the match-up they may try to punish EX NDL and if they do know then you might be able to continue your pressure. After stunning the opponent Twelve has multiple options. He can do raw hp AXE for the best meterless damage but this puts him at -1 up close. He can do throw for best meterless knockdown. Then for meter EX AXE is his most damaging ender with good stun but again he ends up at -1 on hit while alternatively you can do EX NDL into cl. MK to super jump cancel and go for a mix-up or instead just do st. HP for max stun. Course if he has super he can just combo into that. An input shortcut for cl.MK into SA2 is to do a circlular motion from down all the way to up-forward. (kinda like Fei Long's Chicken Wing) This way you'll get both the first fireball motion and the jump at the same time so that you simply need to input an additional fireball motion to get the move out. Making it far easier to use.

Hey guess what? You can cancel a light hadoken into a raging demon, which literally seals the opponents fate. This works with the fire hadoken, but then the hadoken reached first thereby wasting your Raging Demon
