Thank you for the video, Ron, this was very enjoyable to listen to. I'm just getting started with the CBG (mine came in the mail yesterday), and this gives me an idea of what to shoot for. Any suggestions for getting started with finger picking? I'm coming from 6-string guitar where I've only used a pic.

Thanks ! Most of the Time, I use one finger for each string, thumb on the first one. You can begin to practice, only with your thumb, then you add others fingers. You can use my tabs in description and look at my right hand on my videos. 🤓

@rontaylor9999 thank you. I've been wanting to build a few cigar box guitars. So far, I've built small ukuleles and a huge Weissenborn guitar, and would like something simple for once. Something that doesn't require steam bending sides, or complicated bracing. I have a small tabletop saw dedicated to making fretboards, so this looks like a project I could do on a weekend.

Yes, this is most excellent! Originally spiritual that is best understood as the expression to someone who realizes they need to submit to a greater power....and move along. A solemn acceptance of one's fate. Mr. McDowell shifted the lyrics a bit to infer that the greater power was not spiritual but to having to 'move along' because of the presence of the police. The chording of most blues is very simple to play...but rarely do I hear someone take care to capture the emotional intent of the song. Nicely done.

Killer tone man, What pickups are these? I have a 4 string electric mandolim and would like the same, they kinda remind me of the p-90 sound, single coil but HOT and THICC.
