My surgery is on the 30th and My Doctor started my liquid diet yesterday on Wednesday. It’s been a struggle for me and I have eaten something I probably shouldn’t have. Really needing help on how to curve these craving and hope I have screwed my self.

Meagan’s Blessings stay strong. If you were closer to the end of the 2 weeks I’d be concerned. But you’re only a couple days into it. I ate a pack of oatmeal or a pack of grits to help me feel some what full. But if you eat too much of what you’re not supposed to they will know. My doctor told me that if I did that and they went in and seen I didn’t follow the diet they’d wake me up and send me home till I did. Now it’s kind of crazy, but one thing I found helped when craving something was I took a small drink of pickle juice. It really helped. But I love pickle juice lol. Stay strong, after the first week it’s easier. It’s well worth it in the end. Get on track girl!

Hey I was really on the fence regarding getting this surgery. Your vids have helped me make the decision to move forward with having it. Dont know if you have an email address it would be cool to see how you have progressed.
@SavageAFSmokingGrilling5 жыл бұрын
Hey Jay Mitch thanks for watching my videos. Yeah I should really make another follow up video. Maybe I’ll do that this week. I’ll have the time. As I type this I’m waiting on my wife to get ready because I’m scheduled to have my gallbladder removed this morning. It’s a common issue to have gallbladder attacks after bariatric surgery. So no big deal, they’ll snatch it out of me real quick! Lol.

Robert Harris you are welcome. I haven’t done a video in awhile. I’ll be 1 year post op on Jan 29. The weight loss has really slowed down but my size is still changing. Ive went from a 44 pant waist to a 36 and about ready to switch to a 34. Size XXXL shirt to a XL. I feel so much better. You won’t regret having it done.

Awesome job on not only the new outdoor kitchen area, but also your weight loss journey and transformation. I go October 19th for gastric bypass. Current weight is 350-355 lbs. I can't wait and hope to have success like you have.
@SavageAFSmokingGrilling5 жыл бұрын
jasin james thanks so much. I’ve leveled out right now on weight loss. But my size is still changing. I’ve been told that’s normal. I just recently had a gallbladder attack and now I need to have that removed. Apparently it’s common after gastric sleeve or gastric bypass to have it removed. Good luck with everything.

@@SavageAFSmokingGrilling thanks. Please keep the videos coming. Any advice to help with the pre op liquid diet? I work 3rd shift. Makes things so difficult on eating properly
@SavageAFSmokingGrilling5 жыл бұрын
I’m not gonna lie. The pre op diet sucks. But only the first few days. I was able to have some oatmeal on mine. So the times I was really hungry I ate that to have me feeling full. My breakfast and dinner was either oatmeal or grits. Also the premier protein shakes are great. Especially after surgery and you are off of clear liquids and you need that protein. They taste the best. Also for after surgery get yourself some of the sugar free popsicles. The grape was DELICIOUS! Lol. And walk as much as possible after surgery while at home. The gas still inside doesn’t hurt but makes you quite uncomfortable.

@@SavageAFSmokingGrilling oh painful.. have u had it out? i had mine out when i was 21! the attacks are so bad.. i had the sleeve done 7 weeks ago. lost a bit hence searching weight loss vids.. dont have any appetite at all.. really struggling to eat.. had chocolte tho! nothing really tastes nice does it. well done on ur success. what are u eating?
@SavageAFSmokingGrilling5 жыл бұрын
susan lansley keep at it! I couldn’t eat much at all. And the protein supplements I bought from the doctors wasn’t bad. But weren’t hoped either. Try premier protein shakes. I drank those and they are delicious. And loaded with protein. I’m back on a regular diet now and can eat what ever really. But still only about 3/4 cup servings. I haven’t had the gallbladder out yet. But it will be soon. Last night I had a small attack and the night before that was one like before. So yeah! That sucker is coming out!
