Heard the Armor 28 Ultra can survive extreme temps from -30°C to 55°C. Impressive! And with a Mediatek chip, it can handle anything.
@XTechCompare14 сағат бұрын
Yep, the Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra is built to handle some extreme conditions, from freezing cold to scorching heat! That temperature range is definitely impressive for outdoor enthusiasts or those working in tough environments. Plus, with a MediaTek chip, it should perform well for most tasks, even in rugged conditions. A solid choice for durability and performance!

The Armor 28 Ultra and Tank 3 Pro are great choices if you're looking for durability and performance. I'm sure both will serve you well, especially since you’ve already had a good experience with the Power Armor 13.

I only miss the wireless charging. The Blade 10 ultra has a logo the looks like a wireless charger but... :(
@XTechCompare14 сағат бұрын
Yeah, it's disappointing when a phone teases you with something like that, but doesn't actually have wireless charging! It’s a feature that’s becoming more common, but not all rugged phones prioritize it yet. Hopefully, future models will include it, especially since it’s so convenient.

I hate how all the rugged phone makers keep putting more glass on their phones, bigger screen - rear screen or just a huge camera cover, more glass = more places to break really easy, Don't care if is gorilla glass or other, is still glass that will break when it drops on hard uneven surface
@XTechCompare4 күн бұрын
I totally agree with you! It’s ironic that rugged phones, designed to handle tough conditions, are now adding more glass, which increases the risk of breakage. Even with Gorilla Glass, a hard fall on an uneven surface can still cause damage. It would make more sense for rugged phones to minimize glass and focus on durability instead. Hopefully, manufacturers start listening to feedback like this!

It's not "ooh-la-phone", it's "you-la-phone". They named the company as a play on how "you love phone" sounds when a Chinese speaker says the phrase in English.
@XTechCompare4 күн бұрын
That’s an interesting fact! I didn’t know the name had that origin. It’s great to see how they played with pronunciation to come up with "Ulefone." Thanks for sharing!

I understand your concern, but personally, I've never had any issues with Aliexpress. I've been shopping there for years and have always received my products as expected. The one time I received a defective item, I was refunded quickly after reporting the case, with no losses. It’s safe, as long as you take a few precautions. It’s important to always check the seller’s profile and read reviews from other buyers. If something goes wrong, Aliexpress offers support and ensures a refund. Plus, the links I include in my descriptions are from trusted sellers, often the official stores, so you can shop with peace of mind.

What about the updates. And security updates for the tank 3 pro.. apparently unihertz don't release and software update after phone has been released is this true.
@XTechCompare4 күн бұрын
It's true that some rugged phone brands, including Unihertz, have been criticized for not providing consistent software or security updates after their devices are released. The Tank 3 Pro might face the same issue, as Unihertz generally doesn't have the best track record for long-term updates. It's always good to check if a phone brand commits to regular updates, especially for security, before making a purchase.

Tank 3 pro better not having in count it has the cooling system, big flashlight, the projector, the customizable buttons and a bigger battery although the armor 28 ultra has the back screen and more efficiency I think tank 3 pro is still better
@XTechCompare10 күн бұрын
It sounds like the Tank 3 Pro offers more practical features like the cooling system, big flashlight, projector, and that massive battery, which can be game-changers in certain situations. While the Armor 28 Ultra has some cool extras like the back screen and better efficiency, if you're prioritizing those rugged, functional features, the Tank 3 Pro definitely seems like the better pick for your needs!

Looks awesome, but for $202, I bought the Blackview BV8900. It will arrive in a few days. Looks like this one will be close to $1000. I found it for sale online at one site that I'd never heard of for $980
@XTechCompare13 күн бұрын
The Blackview BV8900 sounds like a solid choice, especially for the price! Ulefone's Armor 28 Ultra definitely seems to be pushing the price boundaries for rugged phones, so going with the BV8900 might give you more bang for your buck. Let me know how it turns out once it arrives!

The Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra is expected to be available for pre-orders starting in November 2024, but the official price has yet to be confirmed. Given its high-end features, it's expected to come with a premium price. To give you a rough idea, previous models in the series, like the Armor 26 Ultra, were priced around $347 at launch. You can expect the Armor 28 Ultra to cost more due to its upgraded specs. Keep an eye on the channel-I’ll bring you the information firsthand as soon as it's available!

Phone seems very impressive, but in the hands of a company that has a history to not support their phones for long with security updates... Yeah less than 2 years this product can be discontinued and a new competitor be in place... So in other words, if you get a phone like this you should be stuck with that specific version of Android for many years to come, since you won't be able to upgrade it... Rooting this phone is also very complicated to do it, another point to consider.
@XTechCompare4 күн бұрын
You're spot on! While the hardware on phones like these can be impressive, the lack of long-term software and security updates is a major downside. It’s frustrating when you're stuck with an outdated version of Android, and rooting rugged phones can be tricky, as you mentioned. It’s definitely something to think about before committing to a purchase like this!
