I need to see a speed test of the 24GB RAM version (24+24) against the last normal phones and rugged phones, just to see if this Cubot it's really fast or its a fake RAM

Sad. This phone is great ... 2 years ago. But it is seriously lacking at the time of this post Android 14 is average, but Ulefone Armor 28 is Android 14 with plans for the Android 15 upgrade The screen is average, but Unihertz has one that is better Good refresh rate though as 120Hz is average and some still doing 60Hz You mentioned the Corning Gorilla Glass but didn't say if it was 5 or Victus(6) It only has a Dimension 8200 chip set where Ulefone 28 has the 9300+ with better Bluetooth and such And the Ulefone has the 16GB expandable with 16GB of VRAM And the Ulefone is nearly twice the memory at 516GB expandable with a 2TB card. Much better. The camera package on this phone really sucks. It only has a 100mp camera where the Ulefone 28 has the Sony 50mp 1" sensor giving much better more detailed shots The 5mp macro camera ...wow, pretty lousy. Ulefone has the 50mp ultra wide. And nothing else ? Ulefone 28 has a 50mp Night Vision and the Thermovue Thermal Imaging Sensor making this thing ... Just a phone with bad cameras The selfie cam ... 32mp ... Ulefone 28 has a 50mp And that battery ... Nothing massive about it, Unihertz Tank is over 16,000mAh and the Ulefone 28 is 10,600mAh And the fast charge ? Only 33w, Ulefone 28 is at 60w With reverse charging and power bank modes And most rugged smart phone manufacturers have phones with a rear screen ... Like the Ulefone 28 So what else does this brick have ? A projector like the Tank ?, IR blaster like Ulefone 28 ?, camp light ? Laser measurement ? Sat communications ? Vhf radio ? Loud speaker ? No gimmicks ? Nothing special to make it look special or stand out from the rest ? So, it is just an outdated brick.

Thanks for the thorough comparison! You’ve clearly highlighted why some of the newer rugged phones, like the Ulefone Armor 28, are standing out with upgraded specs. The Cubot KingKong X Pro does show its age, especially in terms of software, camera setup, battery life, and special features like thermal imaging and night vision-areas where Ulefone 28 and Unihertz Tank models really shine. The KingKong X Pro may still work well for basic rugged needs, but when looking at the powerhouse features in today’s market, it’s clear it’s no longer at the cutting edge. Your points capture exactly what’s important in the rugged phone market today!

It's just fantastic. I don't understand. Why is the price so low?
@craigkennedy99683 күн бұрын
Because it is outdated and fails in comparison to others. Sad camera package, no special features, kinda bland and totally average phone when compared feature by feature. Nothing to stand out at all. Sad really

Haha, no worries! The KingKong X is still a solid phone for rugged use! 😊 It might not have the latest features, but Cubot is known for making durable devices, so it should serve you well in rough conditions. Enjoy it, and thanks for the support!

Both phones have two big problems : No internal audio recording... official it's possible, but almost everything is blocked... The buttons on the side have very little resistance but more: they are on the wrong place.. When you grab the phone you take it by the middle on both sides , especially while it's heavy. thereby pressing two buttons, one on each side. So two actions start unwanted while you just wanted to grab the phone......very annoying.... After 20 times you get very bored with it.

Good point! The Doogee DK10 does seem unusually heavy for a phone with a standard battery capacity. It might be due to the rugged build and added durability features, which often make these devices bulkier. It’s something to consider if you’re looking for both portability and power.

Does Doogee V40 Pro heat up after a while? and is it faster than Dimensity 7050? or is it still the same?, because it has less CPU Clock (2500 instead of 2600)
@XTechCompare6 күн бұрын
The Doogee V40 Pro might get a bit warm with heavy use, but it generally manages heat well for everyday tasks. As for speed, the Dimensity 7050 is slightly faster with a higher clock speed (2.6GHz vs. 2.5GHz), so there’s a minor performance difference, but it likely won’t be too noticeable in daily use.

My Ulefone Armor9 only lasted 6 months before starting to become unusable. A disappointing performance from a $600 at the time, flagship Ulefone product. 15mins for GPS to start working is a common fault on those, However Ulefone service was conveniently unsupportive. In a year the mobile reception decreased noticeably, around two years mark the Wi-Fi was dropping out entirely on top of already poor signal all the time. Just under 3 years on and the touchscreen is non responsive about 50 times a day and requires screen lock/unlock to start working again. A huge disappointment overall, a 'rugged smartphone' that does not manage to last one year, let alone three years of non-existing Ulefone warranty. Many many emails back and forth with Ulefone's service department only uncovered their unhelpful, shameless and dismissal attitude. I Do Not Recommend Buying Ulefone Products!
@XTechCompare6 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s unfortunate to hear about these issues with the Armor 9, especially given its high price tag and rugged claims. Customer support can make or break the brand experience, and it’s clear Ulefone missed the mark here. Your feedback will be valuable to others considering a rugged phone!

Hold up! I saw a couple of videos reviewing the Doogee phone & they all said that it had around 32 gigs of ram. 🤔🧐
@XTechCompare6 күн бұрын
Good catch! The Doogee's high RAM count includes “virtual RAM” (using some of the storage as extra memory), which can add up to 32GB in some models. However, the actual physical RAM might be around 8-12GB. The virtual RAM can boost multitasking, but it’s not quite the same as having all 32GB in physical RAM.

I've owned several Ulefone models starting with the Armor 9 (my first smartphone with integrated thermal imaging), the 16, the 14 (two for my teenage daughter), the 21 and the 18t. I even have the Armor Pad 3 Pro. Great units, but the usb charge port on the 9 and 18t (the wireless charging failed early on, but i never liked that feature as it's very inefficient) wore out prematurely and needed replacement. Hopefully Ulefone will address this issue. Aside from that they're amazing. Cheers!
@XTechCompare6 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience! It’s impressive to hear you’ve tried so many Ulefone models, especially with features like thermal imaging on the Armor 9. The USB port issue is a common concern with rugged phones, and it would be great if Ulefone improves durability in that area. Despite these minor setbacks, it’s clear the lineup has served you well overall. Cheers!

Love it. beats the ulefone Amor 23 ultra on specs the only 2 things which im looking to see if it has is satellite msg and calling like armor 23 and if it has video out so i could connect it to a monitor etc. ive got a special hdmi cable that can turn it into one but would be great if it has got it out of the box.
@XTechCompare6 күн бұрын
The Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra is definitely a powerhouse! It outshines the Armor 23 Ultra in several areas, but satellite messaging and calling are standout features that may still be exclusive to the 23 Ultra. Video-out capability would be a fantastic addition, especially if it worked straight out of the box with your HDMI setup. Hopefully, Ulefone considers these features in future updates-it would make the Armor 28 Ultra even more versatile for rugged use! 📱🌍🔌
