A question about curing… Kokoist says 20-40 seconds for Platinum Filler Base and 30 for NT bases… So you’re saying any of their building-style bases should be cured for a minute, regardless? I’m a DIYer, so I’m curious if this is something you’ve figured out over time and a volume of clients or if it’s just a “better safe than sorry” approach. Is there any overarching guidance for all Kokoist products, like potted colors or tops, where you think we should be curing all of them for longer than Kokoists’s directions? Love your videos, btw - super insightful for someone like me.
@MiyaniAburame15 күн бұрын
Their curing times are assuming you use the kokoist curing lamp. If you don't use it then it's best to ensure full curing of the products with 60 seconds
@mbgrant15 күн бұрын
@@MiyaniAburame Yup, which I do have and use. I didn’t hear any admonitions that longer curing times was only for off-brand lamps.
@KokoistUSA12 күн бұрын
@@mbgrant 20-40 is the brand recommended based on the thickness of your application and other factors, but if you ask me, 60 seconds is a safe amount of time, especially if you’re a beginner!

For someone who is attempting this for the first time and is a beginner to doing my nails, can you please let me know exactly what product is in both the bottle and the pot? Seems as if you may be using jargon that is known to someone who has a higher level of experience than me. I truly appreciate your teaching method as you are quite thorough and clear, however I have zero knowledge of nail related jargon. Thanks so much 😊😊

This video absolutely NEEDS to be on the description page of every website that sells these. I know so many people who don’t understand how to size and where to place full cover tips. Can you please tell me why Gelip almond tips have that weird shape on the sides, near the free edge? The edges of the nails start out straight but then has a weird curve that’s almost like a notch. I stopped using them because the weird shape ruins the overall esthetic for me, but maybe there’s a structural reason for it?
@KokoistUSA2 ай бұрын
I find the curve allows the overlay to go overtop more smoothly! You can always bevel the edge from underneath after your application to straighten out that curve

It wouldn’t be recommended to thin out the gel, as that would diminish the pigmentation. Try using a smaller brush like a liner brush if you need to move the gel around in detailed areas, before curing!

Hi! Just yesterday I applied NT Strawberry Milk. My first question is: Is it necessary to wipe off the sticky layer after curing? Second question: I applied a gel color but I did not like the color, this resulted in having to wipe off my nails which meant I ended up having to wipe off the sticky layer from the already cured coat of NT. How does one move forward? Is it okay to apply a thin layer of base coat, color & then top coat?
