Have an original pressing of the first issue of this album . It's a good rythym to work on ones breathing , as the in and out breaths can be worked in with this , including the holds at each end , with experience . Heard via quadraphonic headphones , placed abouve the ear - the sound resonates Thu the skull - and sounds then surround you . Namaste 🙏💜💟🙏💖

I understand this overview effect, your perspective has changed about the Earth. But yet the earth as we know it it going away. You should put your focus on the One who made all of it. Where do you think it All came from.

We as a species are going to make it. We as life are going to make it. We as existence are going to make it. It's not hope, it's certainty. Life is not an accident. The processes of the universe are not an accident. Because there is no separation between the Big Bang and us. No separation from the development of the first DNA, life itself coming from seeming non life, the increase in complexity, the trend to growth and continued awareness - and the legalisation of gay marriage outlawing slavery, environmentalism, veganism... It's all one process. There is no separation. It does not end. Everything is going to be ok. More than OK. This documentary is a mystical experience. Purest art.

Doesn't detract from the goodness, but it's awfully close to Aphex Twin's "Stone in Focus" or am I hearing things?
@obsidianman506 ай бұрын
It's been a while but just want to say that I quite disagree with this. The vibe is very different. They both have similar sounding droning synth pads but Stone in Focus sounds a lot more meditative, calming and dissociative to me, while this Milieu soundscape is more existential, surreal and driving, the delay on the synths here and the layering with the higher frequency notes gives this one a feel of constant rising, almost like a shephards tone, while stone in focus is more obviously cyclical - the step down in note in stone in focus is more prominent than here where the step down feels to me more like a bridge between rising pads. I guess thats how I best describe it.

I first heard this album in 1991 - my art teacher used to play it when we worked on projects. I then used to listen to it when studying through my A LEVELS, UNI. I lost the album, and only today, 30 YEARS later I have found it again !!!!! I am so happy. I am studying once again. Thank you so much for creating this amazing music - I feel like I am floating in the universe !

2:22 - 3:53 There are few places harder to get to in this world. But there aren't any where it's harder to live. The average temperature here at the bottom of the Earth is a balmy 58 degrees below. That's when the sun is out. It wasn't always like this, Antarctica used to be a tropical place densely forested and teeming with life. But then the continent started to drift south. And by the time it was done drifting, the dense forests had all been replaced with a new ground cover: Ice. As for the former inhabitants, they had all died or moved on long ago. Well, almost all of them. Legend has it that one tribe stayed behind. Perhaps they thought the change in weather was only temporary. Or maybe they were just stubborn. But whatever their reasons, these stalwart souls refused to leave. For millions of years they have made their home on the darkest, driest, windiest and coldest continent on Earth. And they've done so pretty much alone. So in some ways this is a story of survival. A tale of life over death. But it's more than that, really. This is a story about love. Like most love stories, it begins with an act of utter foolishness.
