I bought a boat load of those reclaimed red oak shelves at $2 each. I’d have to say those legs would be sturdy enough. Spray finish is so much faster. Nice work Nick!!!

I like the birdhouse, my 7 year old granddaughter loves to build i think this would be one she will love. For the air compressor i would build a little shed outside for it, get a remote plugin to operate it, with a designated hanging spot for the remote 😅 (thats how i stopped misplacing my remote for mine) keep up the fun vibes ✌️

I've been thinking about housing the compressor in the other part of the shop and just running the hose through the wall, but I would also need an access panel, or a way to get at it the way that it is. I have a shop update coming in the not too distant future where I'm gonna address this and several other things. Thanks for watching, and I hope the project goes well for you!

Thanks Les. We have an abundance of barn wood in the midwest as unfortunately we are losing smaller farm families and the houses and barns are getting torn down to make room for more fields.

Just draw a level pencil line and run the top/bottom of your latch on that - reduces the risk of putting your latch on an angle
