It depends! If you don't live on or near the Baht (not bath) bus routes, then you will have to walk a lot or get bus PLUS motorbike taxis! Motorbike taxis are fine, but they NEVER have spare crash helmets, and I would say that anyone that goes on a bike without a helmet is fcuking stoopid! There are so many hazards on the roads that it is inevitable that you WILL come off the bike! Bolt taxis are cheap and convenient, but not always available due to demand. Regular taxi cars can be gotten almost everywhere. But I prefer the convenience of a motorbike, and have been riding one for over 45 years!

In China we pay 0.15 usd with AC on eletric public bus that takes you as long as 30 km 😂❤. Residents over 65 ride free. There are wide bike lanes so many locals just use cellphone to scan the code and rent a bike and return it at your destination, with like 20 cents. @alextoma.channel I was amused by the way that when I used the local buses in Bangkok, there is one, sometimes two conductors on board collecting money from the crowd, that was like back to the 80s in China. Nowadays Chinese bus riders use phone to scan to pay, or just put one Yuan in the coin collecting box. Many buses in Bangkok are obviously made in the 80s and 90s. Drivers don't come to full stop to let people in and out, and I found it very dangerous, not to mention no AC in such hot weather, riding buses isn't fun, well for tourist like me it's fun but probably not for locals.

@alextoma.channel6 күн бұрын
@@PINTOAROUND first, thank you so much for your comment, your words of encouragement and for the questions, Pinto! 😁 You are right, having your own motorbike does give you a higher sense of freedom and I think it depends from person to person. For me, it makes more sense not to rent one (and I am talking specifically about Pattaya). And I don’t walk because I need to walk. I sometimes walk just because I like doing so. But Bolt… really easy and affordable. And you are right! There are many and different types of temptations here. And if any of the things happening here could represent a temptation, I would suggest anyone to choose another place. It’s always a good idea to protect and nurture mental health, physical health and peace of mind over the high risks of short term pleasure.
