I did my WAC Basic Training in 1967 - just an enlisted woman. However, our field problem was interrupted rather rudely by a lightening storm that sent us back to Delta Co quite quickly.

I was there from October through December in 1993. I was sexually harassed by a male drill Sargent by the name of Steven Daddabbo. The female drill Sargent Hanley finally caught wind of it but it was too late at that point I ran for my life and faked my way out. I have medical issues but no medical through the va except mental health. Also filed a claim. Funny how I can’t find these drill Sargents… everything is hush hush and still no word on the toxins..

'They' never made many Jimmy Stewarts, even less today. The man was an unshakable bastion of wisdom, strength, courage and good. That he survived the ordeals he put himself through, may actually be a legitimate miracle.

My grandfather fought on Tarawa Atoll. He told me about the Japanese snipers who tied themselves up in the palm trees and shot at American soldiers!! When the U.S. marines shot and killed them none of them would fall out of those tree’s!!!

John O'Brien told me that one of those snipers had an early night vision scope. Very unexpected.

I was stationed at Ft. McClellan, Alabama for WAC (Women's Army Corps) basic training in 1977. I have been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. My local VA hospital performed a bilateral mastectomy (surgical removal of both breasts) to save my life. I have been denied benefits for my breast cancer as "non-service connected"!!!!

McClellan is several miles north of the Monsanto Plant. The water ran from the plant into small creeks and eventually down into Choccolocca Creek, not back up to the Fort. The PCB’s were buried and disposed of way before this woman was at the Fort. Just another sorry ass jumping on the Johnny Cochran Bandwagon trying to get a payout. Just like every other welfare recipient in the Anniston area. Monsanto has spent Millions to keep the PCB’s at bay and the ground undisturbed. As well as Millions and Millions in payouts for “exposed” people.

Your bragging about line scores of 95? You dont have to be smart to be a MP. Over 75% of the jobs in the Army require scores above 100. But, if you were National Guard? That's a different story . You just need to pass the MEPS physical to join. We called you guys "rocks with lips"

My now ex- husband served fort McClellan 1990 to 1995, in Navy as admin on base to the students..they he changed up and started teaching chemical warfare training for a bit...6-7 years ago he began having seizures,,now in 2017 they just told him he has Lou Garrett's disease ALS.They don't know why..it doesn't run in his family. The soil, water, and air was contaminated, it was a huge toxic wasteland and we did not know anything about it. Horrifying. It's not just the service members who were stationed there who may reap the dangers but also it absolutely can effect any one who lived there on Fort or in Anniston who drank the water or bathed in it or for that fact even breathed the air. Also the PCB's Monsanto dumped in the 60's were still in the water, soil and air and while we were there that could have also affected all of us.
