The curious thing that people overlook all the time is: What if we are playing Mike, and the "one you should not have killed" is simply crying child. The one that started all of this due to the agony spread by the golden freddy bite, leading to Williams murder spree, etc.

i always interpreted the cutscene the exact opposite way. the spirit is still restless, literally shaking from anger, no matter what you do, no matter how hard you try to do the impossible(50x20 mode) it will remain. That's why the old man consequences asks you to let the demon to his demons and you must refuse the offer by violently commiting suislide and that's also why the game doesn't crash but it goes back to main menu - this is an never ending cycle of violence born out of hatred and desire for vengance. This is not a happy ending as the music not so subtly implies

It would be so funny if you were like “And so… Cassidy fades into the dark… all being put to rest” Then it goes silent and you say “So anyways then they made security breach” in a lively voice

I actually have a different interpretation of the Void scene. One that, to my knowledge, no one has suggested before. It's similar to yours, in that it represents closure & how there's only a void left, but in a different way. Essentially, I don't believe Golden Freddy in this scene represents the child who possesses Golden Freddy, or anyone at all. Instead, I think it represents 50/20 itself. Every game with a custom night (and by that, I mean like three) gives Golden Freddy a unique presence in some way. FNaF2 & Sister Location both label their most difficult challenge "Golden Freddy," and FNaF1 has Golden Freddy crash your game if you put in 1-9-8-7. So perhaps UCN's void scene is just continuing that pattern. 50/20 would've been the "Golden Freddy" challenge of this game, and as such, beating it rewards you with a twitching Golden Freddy. Fading away, with somber music in the background, to represent how you did it. You beat the final challenge. There's nothing left. Does this scene confirm Golden Freddy is "The One You Shouldn't Have Killed?" Maybe, maybe not. I personally think this scene is just meant to be a final somber send-off, to close off the game that was itself a final send-off.

All the work I've put in to getting my Almighty Algorithm trained has been paying off! You're the 3rd GOATed yet criminally underrated FNAFTuber I've found in the last 2 days! I've always seen The Void Cutscene as Cassidy (or whatever name you like for The One You Shouldn't Have Killed) refusing to Let Go but this interpretation works just as well, especially with the provided context.

I find it interesting that you take the OMC scene as the Vengeful Spirit moving on considering I've always seen it as the exact opposite. Just looking at the cutscene, Vengeful Spirit doesnt do as OMC says and sit with him a while, they refuse and drown, and in doing so refuses to leave the demon to his demons. And thats consistent with what we hear from Vengeful Spirit though the Mediocre Melodies. To borrow from Henrys FNaF 6 speech, there was a way out for Vengeful Spirit, but thats not what they want, theyre right where they want to be. And what happens if Afton is successful and beats 50/20 and sees the final cutscene? He doesnt get to escape, he goes right to menu to do it all over again, forever.

I’d say the lake and void scene actually indicate the complete opposite of what you’ve interpreted. We get the OMC forest by helping catch a fish, presumably from his own pond. That’s how we get there. I believe the lake represents UCN and the fish represents the vengeful spirit. And what do we do? We jump right back into the lake, into UCN, despite OMC telling us to throw it out. Golden Freddy has finally got the opportunity he’s been chasing for decades, why let it go when some strange ancient red crocodile tells them orherwise? And look at other scenes where we see characters fade into the void. The masks of the mascots in Fnaf 3 are deactivated or still active, implying they remain in that state when engulfed in black. Then the Cryibg Child, crying alone when he fades to black, implying he’s left the living as a sad soul. Looking at Golden Freddy, his eyes are still there, he’s still twitching angrily, even in the last little second we can see a shade of him. He didn’t listen to OMC, his warning only further motivated to torture Afton. Enter Help Wanted onward, the CONSEQUENCES of the vengeful spirit’s personal pursuit and decides to do the right thing through Princess Quest. This was never meant to be the end, this was the jumpstart of the stories reincarnation.

I'm pretty sure the last cut scene is there to establish the motive and event that caused Cassidy to become the one you should not have killed. Golden Freddy is twitching exactly like William did after he was springlocked in spring bonnie. My theory is Cassidy was killed by William in fnaf 2. The yellow suit that someone "used" was Cassidy being put into the Golden Freddy suit and springlocked to death.

Don’t ask why but I was alone in my garage past midnight while watching this video and got chills when you said that golden Freddy was looking at springtrap and then he appeared on screen with that ambience. I had to look over my shoulder just in case springtrap was watching me lmao

Thanks! Finally someone agrees with me! The cutscene, alongside the state of the story (closure and tying up loose ends), just screams ending to me. It feels conclusive and narratively appropiate. I see people trying to give more meanings, like, "It's Afton escaping TOYSNHK's control" or "It's Cassidy leaving Afton to Andrew", or stuff like that. And, while I really like that everyone interprets things uniquely and shares their own interpretations of these pieces of lore, I think nowadays this sense of closure and finality have been a little forgotten in order to expand the story. I fully agree. This video is amazing (the intro was peak FNAF 2018!!).
