That’s a great question Barbara. There are clients who have hired the same speaker yearly for over a decade while others want someone back every third or fourth year. It’s going to come down to the client. My suggestion is that you have two presentations so that you have something to go back with.

I just love your podcast! Question... how often are planners hiring back speakers AND are speakers presenting new information tacked on to maybe what they presented the previous time?

Hi dear, I hope you are well. I am a professional digital marketer. I saw that your KZbin videos are very lovely . You have enough of the videos but your video is not getting views because there is some problem with your videos. Your SEO score is very poor and you need optimization for better results. If you update the videos then the views of the video will increase. If you want you can discuss with me. Thanks

Great Gems and Nuggets for those who want to get started speaking in the college realm! It’s one thing to want to do it, but another thing to actually know exactly who to reach out to. That has been my roadblock so THANKS!

Thank you Jane! Fahid's interview contains absolute gold for those who listen closely and are willing to take action on one or more of the initiatives he discussed. His personal story on moving to Canada was hilarious and his start in paid public speaking was great. It was interesting to hear how his service to others turned into business. He has great enthusiasm. I'm sure that coupled with his knowledge and work ethic will make him unstoppable. Jane, thanks for sharing.

I was speaking at a conference this week and when asked if I travel a lot, I almost apologetically mentioned to someone that I don't do in-person gigs November to March because I'm a snowbird (unless it's an amazing perfect fit full fee). She turned to me and said, "I want your life". Wow, I warned her my life came with more wrinkles 😉 ... I was humbled and reminded how much I have and am forever grateful. Every decision I make in my biz and my life is predicated on lifestyle and building the life and memories I will cherish. Thx for the reminders ... and we'll see you two somewhere somewhen enjoying life!

I have visited your channel. I Think your content useful to us. There are very few followers and views on your channel. If you promote SEO and Google on each of your videos, it will reach the target audience and grow your channel faster.

I remember your interviewing Grant before. As always, you covered good topics. I like that you field questions. I couldn't be there when you were Live, but still got a lot out of this. The nudges and reminders are motivational. Are your books available in audio? I could look them up but thought to ask here.

I've been speaking publicly since January 1991. I have done many things right in terms of presenting ideas, but in terms of marketing myself, a plethora of or 'clutter of omissions' (lazy habits, or self-sabotage, maybe) probably characterized my 'marketing plan.' I spoke for several years about ideas that matured healing modalities for listeners. Still, I never did anything with it, like writing a book (I wrote little posts about social media ideas). My ego didn't like it when Brenee Brown came out with a book about exactly what I was saying, sometimes nearly word-for-word. My ego did two things with it. 1) Suspected her of stealing my ideas, even though I know the same idea comes out of many people at about the same timeline because when the world needs a message, it gets born in someone's heart and mind to transmit it accordingly. 2) I thought if she didn't steal my ideas (I know in my heart of hearts she didn't), then at worst, it makes me a Thought Leader who is worthy of birthing great ideas. Many years ago, at an event where I told a story and included the words, "Weapons of Mass Distraction." I literally thought of the idea myself, but the next month at the same event (it happened monthly), a young man took the stage and said I stole the idea from a movie and used it as my own. The following month I corrected him publicly as he accused me publicly, and his ego didn't like that very much. So what I'm getting at, you all are DOING something with your talents, and I want to do so too. I'm not the 'brightest bulb,' but I shine as I shine in the context of ingenuity mixed with authentic love. I believe this is the best WSU post I've heard and don't know how I missed it in the past. What a wealth of 'beauty tips for speakers' you've released to us. I'll be tuning in again more regularly now that cancer is behind me. Thanks, Jane!
