Great videos! Kirkhill used to my local many years ago but I got into gravel biking so haven't been for a long time, other than the fireroads! I got a new MTB recently though so I'm very keen to head back and check out the trails. I don't suppose you have a link to your trail map? Cheers!

Countless times i've nearly been run over by MTBr's while hiking. Like you mentioned that area wouldnt be seen till to late which is what probably happened when a biker ran into a hiker there. Who in turn placed rocks on path. I hope the rocks are returned to the trail. MRBr's and cyclists are the #1 prentious assholez of all outdoor activites.

Ridden this trail loads of times, pitty some riders are straightening out some of the corners all in the name of personal best?? There's been a lot of work done to the trail, some of it good and some not so. Take the fire road to the top and if you don't like peddling You've got at least and hour continuous up hill all the way. But man is it worth it First run finding your way, second run let it rip. And if you've still got some energy head over to Mastermind at the other side of Ballater.

I wish you could bottle the energy cocker spaniels seem to have - constantly "busy"! Good effort from the youngster for a first go - he'll learn quickly to hang back with positive reinforcement.

@@TheExtraCrank yeah got dogs myself but my best trail dog is now too old and infirm to accompany me any more though she still thinks shes able, ladt time out had the 3 of them (2 Dobermans and a Utonagan) but can be a bit intimidating for others on the trail seeing these big dogs either running out in front or attached to the bike as I taught them to bikejor first . Keep up the training with the pup and the keeping its distance from the bike will improve , just remember to stop from time to time and carry water and a fold up bowl or get them to drink from your hand and use your camelbak. All the best James

I bet that wasn’t meant to be sabotaged. But due to there lack of riding ability they where trying to make the roll in at the top easier as you had to pick the correct line or go head first 🤔

Hello! Nice video. I have already ordered new bike and hopefully, it will arrive in December. What is your experiences with Fox38? I have just checked a couple of videos on youtube about creaking noises in crown area. Have you noticed also the same issue for this fork? Many thanks for feedback! Marcel

I think the confusion at the start of trail 2 was you were doing 'Bobby's baws' and not 'yer Maws erse'!! fnar, fnar. At 8:12 you see a faint trail going off right, although I've never ridden it (maybe this Sunday though), that may be 'Yer maws erse'.

I am considering buying the base model. With your experience on your model, would you think that riding up a trail and back down would be enjoyable/ doable. Also, do you jump on it? If so, how does it feel for that.
