Thanks! Just recently had a similar situation. You helped me to understand the construction of that diaphragm and that oil can come out under pressure around that rubber peripheria. I charged my brake system and it was OK. When I changed new pads it turned out to be over pressure in the system and a bit of oil was thrown out of that diaphragm. it works now but not satisfied with the handbrake range with the old support.

was up glen tilt a few weeks ago and spotted exactly that ridge you came down, too. But i was more thinking about hiking up it rather than riding down it. What an adventure, thanks for sharing, glad I saw the video.
@Chris_KnopfАй бұрын
Looking at the maps, the ridge you went down is pathless (evident from your video), but there are two paths coming down on ridges further to the north-east leading to a bridge to cross the tilt - ever done those? And are there actually paths? Maybe even ridable ones? If anyone knows...

You are slightly wrong there's no pressure created in the area of the bladder. It is there to compensate for the oil used from piston displacement and it is effectively filled with atmosphere pressure through the end hole and stops the system cavitating. All the pressure is applied by the internal piston passing the oil way holes, sealing off the circuit and continuing to push transfers the pressure throughout the system and as the only moving part from then on it pushes the piston out. I appreciate your video for the tip of getting it out though so thanks.

The trail in the video IMO is a bit rougher and steeper but if taken steadily not too bad in comparison to Jocks road.
